In a quiet room on a calm morning, Izuku lay on his bed staring at the ceiling, It was the early hours when the sun hadn't even risen yet. Now, as of today, the 16-year-old got up with slow movement. Not tired but rather a reluctant movement. Today was the day when his destiny was to be fulfilled.

He quietly got up and went to the restroom. His shower was silent, and he just stared at the wall in front of him with an expressionless look. He returned to his room and began changing into his outfit for this final dance. It was from a time way before his birth, from a time when Slayers were a preferred job.

He shouldered the shirt on as the kanji of the sun was shown on his back, outlined in white against the black shirt. He finished with the black pants as he put the white belt in place. Izuku walked to the nightstand and stared down at it for a long second.

On it lay the still broken blade from almost a year ago form today. He grabbed the grip and pulled it towards him before placing the blade into the hilt. Without a word, he left the room and began his most important journey.

As he walked the empty halls of UA, passing several empty classrooms. He stopped and looked outside, seeing the many camps set up in the field. In the past month, UA had begun preparing for his fight by prepping a ring for him and even getting the civilians to safety within the confines of UA. He sighed before continuing his walk towards the location he needed to reach.

He eventually arrived at the location he wanted to reach. Looking at the all too familiar writing of the support lab on the wall. He touched the lettering before closing his eyes, they opened again, showing the fire deep within his soul. He knew the person he needed to see was here due to the sound of metal clanging inside.

He entered the room easily enough, finding Mei messing with the suit for his final battle one final time. He walked behind her and gave her a hug which made her stop, a complete stop like she was hit with a time stop.

Izuku: We need to talk Mei.

Mei: No, I need to work.

Izuku: Mei.

Mei: I said no, damnit.

Izuku: Mei, please, this might-

Mei: Don't you dare say this might be our last time!

Mei turned around, showing that she was a mess, her eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep and crying. Izuku had been trying to talk to her for the past week, but she's been avoiding him. Constantly going back to the suit and weapons, making sure they were perfect.

Though now there was no escape.

Izuku: I don't want it to be, but even my best might not be enough. So please, at least talk to me just in case. I don't want our last conversation to be yelling.

Mei glared before giving up as she sat against a table with Izuku sitting next to her. She put her head on his shoulder as he wrapped, and she sniffled softly as she returned the hug.

Mei: Please come back.

Izuku: I will try my hardest. But we have to face the reality of the situation, baby. I am facing the most dangerous thing in the history of this planet. We have to prepare in case I fail, and I don't want it to be anyone more than you.

Mei looked confused until Izuku handed her a key. She looked at him with sad eyes as Izuku kissed her on the forehead. He brought her head anyway and stared into her eyes.
