"I thought I told you to use the rooms," she said, her voice firm, but not as cold as it had been the night before.

Jin stirred awake and stood up. "We're not used to it... but we'll try." His eyes held a mixture of fear and gratitude.

Y/N nodded stiffly. "Breakfast is in the dining hall," she said before turning away.

As she walked down the hallway, the echo of the word "Noona" lingered in her mind, chipping away at the walls she had built around her heart.

---

This was only the beginning. Over time, they would all learn that perhaps there was room for a new kind of family, even one built on fractured pasts and unlikely bonds.

As Y/N walked back to her room, her mind was a whirlwind of confusion. She had never intended for them to stay long, much less to feel... responsible for them. But something about Kookie's innocent, hopeful eyes, and Jin's quiet, mature demeanor made her heart stir. She tried to shove the feeling aside.

They called her *Noona*. She wanted to correct them, to tell them not to call her that. She wasn't their sister, not in the way that mattered. Yet, something about that word made her feel a warmth she hadn't experienced in years. It tugged at a part of her that had been dormant for so long, a part that had been buried with her mother.

---

The next morning, Y/N found herself standing outside the dining hall, watching the boys from a distance. They were sitting together, their faces solemn as they discussed something in hushed voices. She could see the worry etched on Jin's face, the way Suga and RM glanced at the younger ones, concern radiating from them.

"We can't stay here forever," Jin was saying softly, looking at his brothers. "She'll kick us out sooner or later. We need to find somewhere else. The three of us-" he pointed at himself, Suga, and J-Hope, "we'll look for jobs. We'll save money and
find a place."

"But what about our studies?" RM asked hesitantly.

"We'll figure it out," Jin reassured him, though he didn't sound convinced.

The younger boys - Jimin, Taehyung, and Kookie - sat quietly, clearly anxious. Jin patted Kookie's head gently. "Don't worry, Kookie," he said, his voice soft and soothing. "We'll take care of you."

Y/N listened from the shadows, her heart tightening. They had no idea what they were going to do, no plan, no direction. They were so used to taking care of themselves, struggling to survive. It made her chest ache in a way she didn't like.

When the dining hall doors opened, the boys hesitated, unsure of what to expect. They were greeted by the sight of an enormous table, covered in an array of delicious foods: rice, grilled meat, kimchi, side dishes, and steaming soups. Their eyes widened in shock, their stomachs growling audibly. They hadn't eaten since the previous morning, and the sight of the food was almost too much to bear.

But they hesitated, glancing at each other nervously. Was this really for them?

Y/N stood at the head of the table, her expression unreadable. She caught their hesitation and spoke up coldly, "Sit down and eat."

Her voice was stern, but her words were simple. The boys quickly obeyed, sitting down cautiously. Jin looked at the food before him, his hands trembling slightly. He cleared his throat and lowered his head. "Thank you, Noona," he said quietly. "Thank you for letting us stay. I... I promise we'll find jobs and move out soon. Just give me some time..."

Y/N felt a sharp pang in her chest. She didn't know why it hurt to hear him say that. She glanced at Jin, his gaze fixed on his plate, his posture small and unsure. Her eyes flickered to the others, who sat there waiting for her response, all of them bracing for the moment she would tell them to leave.

But instead of pushing them away, she felt the strange urge to protect them.

"You're going to move out?" she asked icily, her voice cutting through the tension like a blade. The boys flinched at the coldness in her tone.
