Y/N’s mind raced as she processed what was happening. She had always been aware that their behavior towards her was unconventional, but this… this was crossing a boundary she hadn’t expected. And yet, for some reason, she didn’t stop them this time. Something held her back—an emotional connection that felt deeper than she had ever admitted to herself. Each kiss was filled with affection and longing, as though they were expressing their fear of losing her, their love, and their desire for closeness all in one gesture. And though she was initially shocked, she found herself not pushing them away. She felt their need for reassurance, their desperate want to feel connected to her again.
Her thoughts were a whirlwind, trying to make sense of everything, but at the same time, a strange calm washed over her. She realized that this was their way of showing her how much she meant to them. It was unconventional—perhaps even wrong in some ways—but the emotion behind it was pure, filled with love and attachment.
When the last kiss ended, they all looked at her with a mixture of hope and uncertainty, waiting for her reaction.
Y/N blinked, her lips tingling from the kisses. "I…" she began, her voice soft and unsure. She couldn’t find the right words, so instead, she simply pulled them all back into a tight hug. She wasn’t sure where they would go from here, or what any of it meant, but she knew one thing for certain—they were her family, and they needed her just as much as she needed them.
For now, that was enough.
Y/N stood frozen, heart pounding as she watched them apologize through tears. Their faces were filled with regret, their voices shaky with emotion as they all said in unison, "We're sorry, Noona. We crossed the line again."
Before she could respond, they turned and ran to their rooms, leaving her standing there alone and confused. The sound of their retreating footsteps echoed in her mind as she replayed the moments in her head, feeling a mix of guilt and sadness wash over her.
She stood there for a while, processing what had just happened. "I didn’t mean to hurt them like this," she whispered to herself, the guilt settling heavier in her chest. She hadn’t expected them to be so affected by her previous words about boundaries, and now that they were trying to respect her wishes, it was clear how much pain they were in.
Y/N sighed, deciding to take a shower to clear her mind. The warm water did little to soothe her growing concern. After dressing, she headed to their rooms, hoping to talk to them. When she arrived, however, she found them empty. Panic rose in her chest as she checked each room, but none of them were there.
Then she heard a faint sound coming from J-Hope’s room. When she entered, she found them all curled up together on the bed, their faces still wet with tears. They had cried themselves to sleep, their expressions pained even in rest.
Y/N’s heart broke at the sight. "I didn’t realize…" she murmured, stepping closer to them. She knelt by the bed, gently pulling the blanket over them. They looked so small and vulnerable, nothing like the confident young men she was used to seeing. Tears pricked at her own eyes, but she blinked them away, not wanting to cry in front of them.
She whispered softly, "I’m so sorry. I never wanted to push you away."
Quietly, she left the room, returning to her own, though sleep did not come easily for her that night.

Two days passed, and during that time, Y/N noticed how distant they had become. They avoided her at every turn, rarely making eye contact or speaking unless absolutely necessary. The house, once filled with laughter and bickering, was now eerily quiet. Even Jungkook, who used to cling to her like a shadow, kept his distance, choosing to be with his hyungs instead of her.
Y/N felt a deep ache in her chest every time she saw them shy away from her. She knew she had to do something to mend the rift between them, but she didn’t know where to start. She missed them terribly—their playful antics, the way they would come to her for comfort, their laughter filling the house. She couldn’t stand the silence any longer.
Determined, Y/N decided to bring them all back together. She knew exactly what to do.
That evening, she prepared their favorite dishes for dinner. The smell of homemade food filled the mansion, enticing but bittersweet. She could hear them quietly whispering in the hallway, their usual excitement dulled by the recent tension.
As they all gathered at the table, their eyes were downcast, hesitant to meet her gaze. She took a deep breath and smiled warmly. "I made all your favorite dishes tonight," she said, trying to keep her tone light. "I hope you’ll enjoy it."
They nodded but remained mostly silent, poking at their food rather than diving in like they usually would. Y/N watched them, feeling the awkwardness weighing heavy in the air.
She couldn’t take it anymore. "Look, I… I’ve been thinking," she began, her voice faltering slightly. All eyes turned toward her, cautious but curious.
"I know I hurt you," she continued, "when I talked about boundaries. I was just confused and overwhelmed. But I never wanted to push you away. I miss you all so much. The house feels empty without your laughter and chaos." She smiled, though her eyes were filled with unshed tears. "Please, don’t pull away from me. I don’t want you to feel like you have to avoid me."
Jin was the first to speak, his voice soft and uncertain. "But, Noona… we don’t want to make you uncomfortable. We don’t want to cross any lines again…"
"You’re not making me uncomfortable," Y/N interrupted, shaking her head. "I love you all, and I just… I got scared. Scared that maybe things were getting too intense. But what matters is that we’re a family, and I don’t want to lose that. I don’t want to lose you."
The tension in the room slowly began to ease as her words sunk in. J-Hope, sitting closest to her, reached out and took her hand. "We don’t want to lose you either," he said quietly. "We just thought… maybe you didn’t need us anymore. Not after Jackson came back."
Y/N’s heart clenched. "No, that’s not true at all. Jackson is my friend, yes, but you are my family. Nothing can replace that. I’m sorry if I made you feel like you were less important to me. You’re not. You’re everything to me."
Slowly, one by one, the others began to speak, their voices soft but filled with relief. "We were just scared," Jimin admitted. "We thought you didn’t want us around anymore."
"I’ll always want you around," Y/N reassured them. "Always."
There was a brief silence before Jungkook, the youngest, stood up from his seat. He walked over to her, his eyes watery but filled with hope. Without saying a word, he wrapped his arms around her neck, hugging her tightly. One by one, the others followed suit, and soon Y/N was enveloped in their warmth, surrounded by the people she cared about most.
"I’m so sorry," Y/N whispered as they held her close. "I never meant to hurt you."
"We’re sorry too," Jin said softly, resting his forehead against hers. "We just… love you so much."
"I love you too," Y/N whispered back, her heart swelling with emotion.
The weight of the past few days began to lift, and the atmosphere in the house slowly shifted back to its normal warmth. Though the road ahead might still have its challenges, Y/N knew one thing for sure—they would face it together, as a family.
And that was all that mattered.
