Y/N, on the other hand, retreated to her own room. The soft hum of the water as she took a relaxing shower helped calm her nerves. She let the heat ease the tension in her body as she reflected on everything that had happened. Her once empty and silent house was now filled with people—people who, whether she liked it or not, were her family. It felt strange, unsettling even, but there was a part of her that didn’t mind it as much as she thought she would.
After her shower, she put on a comfortable robe and headed to her desk, where her laptop waited for her. There was still work to be done. She wasn’t the type to let her emotions interfere with her responsibilities. As she typed away, the house was quiet again, except for the faint sounds of the boys settling in their rooms.
But even as she worked, Y/N couldn’t help but think of the boys—how scared they looked, how they huddled together, and how they tried so hard not to be a burden. Her heart ached a little at the thought, though she quickly pushed it away. She wasn’t used to caring for anyone anymore. It had been a long time since she allowed herself to feel anything other than the cold distance she projected to the world.
She sighed deeply, shaking off the thoughts. There was no use in dwelling on it. All she could do now was focus on her work and take things one day at a time. Tomorrow would bring new challenges, and she needed to be ready for them.
As the house fell into a deeper silence, Y/N stayed up late into the night, her fingers dancing across the keyboard, her mind occupied with work but her heart subtly stirred by the unexpected presence of her new family.
The next morning, the house was filled with a quiet tension as everyone gathered for breakfast. The boys were still adjusting to the unfamiliar luxury around them. They ate silently, occasionally glancing at Y/N, unsure of how to act in front of her.
Y/N broke the silence with her usual cold tone. "From tomorrow, you'll all be attending your classes," she said simply, not looking up from her plate.
The boys exchanged quick glances before nodding. "Yes, Noona," they said in unison, their voices low and respectful. There was no arguing with her—they had already learned that much.
After breakfast, Y/N excused herself and retreated to her room to focus on her work. The boys, meanwhile, lingered in the living room, unsure of what to do with themselves. They weren’t used to having so much free time, especially in such a large house.
After a few minutes of awkward silence, Jin stood up. "Let’s take a look around the house," he suggested quietly.
The others agreed, curiosity overcoming their hesitation. The mansion was huge, much bigger than anything they had ever seen. They had only seen a few rooms so far, but the rest of the house was a mystery. They split into small groups and began wandering through the halls, their eyes wide as they took in the grandeur of it all.
Jungkook and Jimin wandered into the kitchen, marveling at the size of the space and the array of appliances they didn’t even know the names of. "I could get used to this," Jungkook murmured, his eyes on the massive refrigerator stocked with more food than he had ever seen in one place.
Suga, RM, and Taehyung found themselves in the library. Shelves lined the walls, filled with books of all kinds. RM's eyes lit up with excitement. "This is heaven," he whispered, running his fingers along the spines of the books. Suga leaned against one of the shelves, taking in the peaceful atmosphere. Taehyung, meanwhile, wandered around, staring at the paintings on the walls and the soft, plush furniture.
Jin and J-Hope ended up in a small garden tucked away in the back of the house. It was quiet and serene, a hidden sanctuary filled with flowers and greenery. Jin closed his eyes, breathing in the fresh air, while J-Hope wandered through the garden paths, amazed at the beauty of it all.
As they continued their exploration, the boys couldn’t help but feel a mix of awe and disbelief. This mansion was unlike anything they had ever known. It was a world of wealth and luxury, something they never imagined being part of. But at the same time, it felt strange—like they were intruding on someone else’s life.
When they eventually regrouped in the living room, they sat down together, still processing everything they had seen. "This place is huge," Jimin said softly, his voice filled with wonder.
"It’s like something out of a dream," Taehyung added, leaning back against the couch.
