When i got the news today

I didnt know what to say

So i just hung up the phone

Tony just hung up the phone and hung his head low. He had just found out that (y/n), his wife, soon to be the mother of his unborn baby girl was gone. They both were.

I took a walk to clear my head
This is where the walking lead

He didn't want to go home, it wasn't a home anymore because you weren't there. Tony walked and walked as the phone call replayed in his mind. 'I'm sorry Mr stark they are gone.'

So im going to sit right here
On the edge of this pier
Watch the sunset disappear
And drink a beer

Tony sat at the edge of the pier and thought about all the memories you had shared here. He took a sip from the bottle and his head fell as he swore he saw your reflection in the water. The sun was setting and he remembered your first date

-flashback-

"tony no I'm gonna fall!" you squealed as he ran with your hands laced together "no you wont. I've gotcha" he smiled and sat on the pier pulling you in between his legs and wrapping his arms around your waist. "tony look the sunset! Its so beautiful!" you sighed leaning your head on his chest. "not as beautiful as you " he replied cheekily and pressed a kiss to your head.

-flashback over-

That night was perfect. Tony took another swig of his beer as a tear fell down his cheek. He missed you so much. He was ready to be your everything.

Funny how the good ones go
Too soon, but the good lord knows

Tony couldn't figure out why this had happened to such a good person. You brought out the good in everyone, even him. He doesn't want it to make sense he wants his wife back. He wants to be a father and a husband. Funny how god works.

Tony will see you again. Honestly the only thing that kept him going was you and the baby. As the tears steadily fell down his cheeks he remembered the night he proposed right here on this pier.

"tony why am i blindfolded?" you asked as he stopped you and stood behind you. It was your 4 year anniversary. He had taken you out to dinner and a movie and he was more nervous and flirtatious then usual. He took off the blindfold and got down on one knee "y/n we have been together for 4 years now. You have made me a better man. I want to share the rest of my life with you-" the tears welled in your eyes as he pulled out the little black box and opened it revealing a diamond ring. If was stunning. "i never thought i would settle down but i do now. And i want to with you. Y/n will you marry me?" you couldn't speak so you nodded as the tears fell and your arms flung around his neck. "yes one million times yes ill marry you!" you collided your lips with his as he put the ring on your left finger. With a shaky hand he wiped away your tears with the pad of his thumb. "i love you so much." he mumbled. "i love you too"

The sun had long gone down and his beer lay unfinished next to him. "i swear ill see you again." tony mumbled before standing up and stumbling home.
