There was an explosion, nothing I could do. The people I had been on the 6 month mission and made friends with were dead. I'm on the helicarrier home and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss them. Once we landed I got off and dialed the house phone hoping bucky was home. "Hello?" He mumbled sleepily. "Hey buck." "Hey Alex. What's the matter?" He asked more awake now. "I'd rather not say..." My voice cracked. "Oh baby. Whatever it is I'm sorry. Don't cry. You'll be home soon. Don't let your light burn out" i sighed "I'll see you soon bucky."

When I finally got home bucky pulled me into his arms and I let the tears fall. "Bucky why do you have stuff packed?" I asked looking at his duffle bag on the living room floor. "I got called for a mission Alex. In sorry." No. I cried some more and he held me for as long as he could. "I have to go my dear I'm sorry." He muttered and I nodded. "Remember don't let them kill the light behind your eyes"
