❟❛❟ CHAPTER EIGHTEEN ❟❛❟

"IT'S TIME! IT'S TIME!!"

Kaminari and Mineta's voices echoed through the common rooms as they jumped around excitedly. Today was the day the U.A. cultural festival would begin, and the excitement was palpable. The students had been up since dawn, preparing their props and band equipment for their big performance.

"Akame-chan, put on the t-shirt!" Hagakure exclaimed energetically as she and Uraraka burst into the common restroom. Akame was still staring at the bright orange t-shirt in her hands with a pale face.

"We're really going with orange and yellow," Akame muttered under her breath, her gaze distant as if trying to mentally escape the neon fabric in front of her.

"Come on, Akame-chan, it's part of the fun!" Hagakure insisted, gently shaking her shoulders to snap her out of it.

"But Akame-chan, are you sure you're going to join us?" Uraraka asked, her tone full of concern. "I'm worried you won't have enough time to get ready for the beauty pageant later. Even Kendou and Nejire-senpai started preparing early this morning."

Akame gave a small, reassuring smile that made Uraraka's cheeks turn a faint pink. "It's fine," she replied softly, "I can manage."

Uraraka couldn't help but be mesmerized. "So cool..."

"Come on, Akame-chan!! Just put on the T-shirt!!" Hagakure urged again.

Reluctantly, Akame slipped on the orange t-shirt, frowning at her reflection. Orange really isn't my style...

As they exited the restroom, Mina was checking on her dance team nearby. She noticed them and spun around, giving them a big thumbs up. "Let's head to the gym, everyone!"

The group left the dorms, merging into the lively crowd. Akame stayed with the girls as they made their way through the vibrant festival street, lined with colorful stalls and the mouthwatering aroma of street food.

"There are so many food stalls~" Hagakure exclaimed, her invisible eyes twinkling with delight.

"It smells delicious," Tsuyu added.

"I'm hungry..." Jirou grumbled, clutching her stomach.

"Same here. I swear, getting ready drained all my energy," Mina chimed in, sounding equally famished.

"Ooh, look! Crepes!" Uraraka pointed excitedly at a stall, practically drooling at the delicious scent wafting through the air.

"Let's go!"
