❟❛❟ CHAPTER TWENTY ONE ❟❛❟

"OKĀ-SAN HAS GONE HOME," Todoroki announced abruptly as they entered the gate of U.A. after supplementary class.

"Huh?!" Bakugou spun around, eyebrows furrowing in disbelief. "What the hell are you talking about?"

Todoroki's expression remained calm. "Fuyumi- said okā-san came home yesterday. Oyaji... picked her up."

Bakugou's eyes widened, and he scoffed in disbelief. "Endeavor? No freakin' way!"

"Today?" Akame asked.

Todoroki shook his head. "No, it's been three days. I just... I was too shocked to say anything until now."

Bakugou's mouth twisted into a scowl. "No way!" he repeated as if the idea physically pained him. "Are you serious?"

Todoroki nodded, his expression as expressionless as always, but there was an unmistakable undertone of emotion. "They even went on a dinner date yesterday," he added, his voice soft but filled with a strange mixture of wonder and disbelief.

Bakugou let out a disbelieving bark of laughter, his eyebrows shooting up. "A dinner date? Your old man?"

"Really, Bakugou," Todoroki insisted, reaching into his pocket. "Look at this."

He pulled out his phone and showed Akame and Bakugou a photo. They both leaned in to get a better look. Sure enough, there it was—a picture of Enji and Rei Todoroki, both dressed in formal clothes, seated at a fancy restaurant. Rei looked serene, while Enji—although still imposing—seemed almost... relaxed.

"Where the hell did you get this?" Bakugou demanded, his voice tinged with incredulity as he leaned back, crossing his arms.

"Natsuo- and Fuyumi-," Todoroki replied, a faint flush creeping onto his cheeks. "They disguised themselves to take pictures."

"..."

"Even during these three days, oyaji asked for leave," Todoroki added again making Bakugou scream while covering his ears.

"I swear, I can't believe it."

Akame rolled her eyes. "Then, what do you think about that?"

Todoroki fell silent for a moment, staring at the floor. His usual calm exterior wavered as he spoke quietly, almost as if he were speaking more to himself than to them. "I... don't know. It feels strange, almost impossible. Like something that shouldn't be real."

His voice softened further, his face partially obscured by his bangs as he lowered his head. "But... seeing them together, looking like they're falling in love again... it makes me happy."
