Warnings: Slight angst, fluff, spicy ending

"Darling... I understand your motives, but, there is still much to do before the day ends."

You say nothing, nuzzling your nose further beneath his jaw, and the man sighs. He had sat down merely to remove a scuff he'd noticed on his shoe. Sebastian hadn't anticipated his wife would be taking advantage of his sitting status. Then again, he never could anticipate her next action, it's what makes her so interesting.

Your husband had just returned from aiding your Master in his latest mission. They invesgated a traveling circus that was suspected to have been responsible for missing children. It had been almost a week since you'd seen him.

"Can't a wife embrace her husband without chide?" You pout against Sebastian's shoulder. While you don't doubt your marriage, you do feel the rift between you Sebastian swiftly keeps. Always a few steps away from you. Your arms go around his neck, snuggling sweetly into your husband. "Well, yes." The butler speaks, "However when said wife's husband has a schedule to attend, her embrace becomes a mere obstacle."

In other words, he called you a pest.

While the interaction doesn't necessarily loop in his mind, Sebastian is reminded throughout the day when you stick your nose up and away from him. You were cross with him. Usually he'd find it amusing but, presently, he feels this pressure on him. This urge to earn back your good graces.

Sebastian wasn't unknown to affection, it was, however, foreign to him before marrying you. It had been a troubling past year for him, learning how to manage a wife because as it turns out, having a wife and.... 'dealing' with women is entirely different. He can't get by with only handsome smiles and sultry words.

And, well, you deserved better than that. You're a devoted wife, very good to him in all manner of speaking even if a little bossy. You never asked for much. Would it really have been so troubling to linger in your arms, if that was all it took to please you? Instead he'd upset you again with his lack of emotional depth.

Sebastian realized, he could not ignore this if he planned on keeping this cover marriage.

It was late in the evening now, you curled up in your plush rocking chair with a blanket draped over your legs. Fire and candle light illuminate your bedroom, warming the cold atmosphere. The book in your hands is more for show at this point. You find yourself unable to focus on the words.

Knock knock

"Dearest, may I come in?"

Thus appears your distraction. You sigh, "I'm tired."

Sebastian pinches the bridge of his nose '...Stubborn.' "I'll only be a moment." He tries again, and is met with silence until the lock clicks. He takes that as his cue to enter. Upon openning the door, he finds you standing with your arms crossed. Robe covering your night clothes.

He takes note of the crease in your brow, the pout in your lip, and he can't help but think how adorable his human is.

"I have upset you." Sebastian says, placing his candelabra down on your dresser, and stalking towards you. "Hm." You hum, and look to the side at your very interesting bed. "Truly, I... I meant no offense to you this morning." The butler treads carefully. "Well offense was taken." You state, turning your back to him. "Indeed. Tell me, how will you have me remedy this?" "I don't want-!" You inhale deeply, so as to not allow your hurt feelings to fester further.

"I shouldn't have to tell you, Sebastian." You explain calmly, as you peer over your shoulder at him. "I want...I want you to do what you think would have me forgive you. Or at least... try. Something. "

Ah... yes. When was the last time he tried anything for you? Sebastian understands a bit better. He hasn't put much effort into his marriage, into you, his wife. Not as much as he puts toward the rest of his duties. Of course your patience had worn thin.

Sebastian feels as though he's been kicked. Something close to disappointment hits him.

Your melancholy sigh breaks him from his self loathing. "If that's all, I really am tired." You go to your bed, removing the decorative pillows with blurry eyes. You tense when hands lightly grasp your shoulders, simply holding you before guiding you back. Once coming in contact with the figure behind you, the hands trail down your arms to wrap their own arms around your waist.

Sebastian's chin lands on your shoulder. His pointed nose nudges the shell of your ear. Despite yourself, you relax in his hold, leaning your head back against him as you breathe. Eye closing.

"I'm sorry," your husband whispers, "to have neglected you so, my wife." His hold tightens, pressing you into him, satin lips tracing over the exposed skin of your neck. Your scent fills his senses, he can smell the despondence of your human heart, the yearning you have for him.

Quite frankly, Sebastian finds it delicious.

One arm trails a hand up your front, over your chest to your neck, for fingers to gently grab your jaw to turn your head. Sebastian places a kiss beneath your ear on your pulse point. Sweet pecks go along your jaw.

The taste of your skin on his tongue causes Sebastian's movements to grow hasty. Practically pawing your body over your clothing. You open your eyes, looking to Sebastian as he leans over your shoulder into view. Wordlessly leaning forward, your lips caress each others'. Your fingers glide then clench in Sebastain's hair.

Perhaps it had been your dizzy mind playing trick on you, but you went from standing one moment, to spun around to lay on your back on the bed. It happened so quick, almost inhuman. Your robe untying halts your thoughts from furthering.
