All the noise from outside has quieted down now. Bree's feet drag along as she allows Chase to steady her body, he hasn't let go of her the entire walk back to the dorm. All the alarms have quit blaring and the lights have stopped, alerting them that all the greater demons are gone. The two of them stop in front of Bree's door. The entire hallway is vacant and dimly lit, the only thing she can see clearly is the outline of his features and piercing emerald eyes. His arms rest on the indents of her waist and all she can feel is the crave for more of his touch.

"Can you stay?" She whispers, her lips nearly trembling.

"Of course," he whispers back, his lips curling into a small smile.

Bree turns to unlock her door, still feeling his presence right behind her. Her heart instantly begins to race and she can't pin point exactly why. Chase brushes against her as he makes his way into her room - and for a second she realizes he hasn't been in here for a while. And during that absence she feels as if their entire relationship changed, they've kissed more than once now and he admitted he wants to. She's admitted to herself that she likes it and if she knew what caring for and liking someone is, she'd imagine it's what she feels for Chase.

Bree can't rip her eyes off this man. She watches his movements as he slides out each weapon from his sheath or waist band and gently tosses it onto the ground. Even the way he slides his feet out of his shoes is intoxicating. She hasn't moved two feet from the doorway yet as her body feels paralyzed with these emotions. They're alone, like truly alone with no one to interrupt them - and that thought is what is making her heart pounce out her ribs.

Chase can't help but notice her staring and he lightly chuckles and moves closer in her direction. His gaze meets hers as he towers over her by at least a foot. Through the midst of all the action of what just happened, he seems to smile and twinkle like a light in a dark tunnel. "What's running through your pretty little head?"

She licks her lips and then bites her tongue. She's unsure how to put all these emotions and thoughts into words. In this moment there's something - someone - who's dominate in her mind despite the chaos going on. "You," all she wants is to forget the chaos for just one night.

Mentally, Chase is on the same page as her. He can't exactly pin point what he's feeling, but he does know he craves her physically. He channels all the energy and adrenaline that's left inside him to close the space between them, cup her face and kiss her.

Immediately Bree melts into his body, effortlessly kicking off her shoes. They treat each other as something fragile at first, gently exploring the other's mouth with light fingers roaming around. But it quickly starts to pick up as each of them realize they truly are warriors, warriors who've been through hell and back in just the last couple of days.

Chase grips at her thighs giving her enough momentum to kick her legs up and wrap them around his abdomen. Carrying her is light and he always forgets just how small she actually is, but he presses her back against the door causing an echoing sound to radiate outward. He can feel her smile against his skin as his hands slip beneath her cotton t-shirt and begins to explore her bare skin. She tightens her legs around him, pulling him closer and nagging at the edge of his shirt. She feels weightless in his grip and with his touch that she barely notices he's picked her all the way up now and has led them across the room to her bed.

Both their breathing continues to intensify until they're utterly gasping for air. They're both squared towards each other and can see just how breathless each of them are. At this point their passion grows into hunger and they both nearly lunge at each other like wild animals. He lifts her shirt up exposing her in just her bra, and her tiny hands pry to get him out of his shirt. His black phoenix marking protrudes off his chest and she melts into his bare skin like lava. He kisses her shoulders and her neck inching across the space of her breasts that she can't help but bite her lips and mutter soft moans into his ear.
