"She says, I miss you." Umemiya who recovered also spoke, sporting a smirk as he do so.
............................................
"Say that again." Yuki muttered.
Umemiya brightened up with her words.
"What? Do you like me saying it? I said, I mi-" but before he could even finish his words, he was struck badly in the face with a pillow. He wasn't expecting it, there was no malice... he didn't feel any that's why he was really shocked.
"Hey!!! Why are you beating m-" But to his demise, she throws another pillow at him once again, standing up to give a full force.
She is at her limit with his nonsensical jokes, even though it's his first entry today.
"Be serious for once, will you?!" Yuki frustratedly cried out, her heart was beating wildly as she shouted those words.
She was being serious.
She was already confused with her own self.... Why is she so sensitive when it comes to him? Why does he easily anger her? Why is she so freakishly annoyed seeing him and Tsubaki together?... and why is it that her heart go crazy when he speak of words she should be cringing about?
She already couldn't understand herself, and now here he was joking around like she wasn't stirring her heart and mind enough.
Umemiya also stood up.
"But I mean i-"
"No, you don't, you freaking fool!"
"F-fool?" Yuki avoided his gaze and glared at the ground before returning her gaze to him.
"Just stop talking already. I don't want to listen anymore."
"Hey..." Umemiya calmed down but her words somehow struck him wrong.
He couldn't even get through her at all, her walls are so unnecessary tall.
'I was voicing out what I really feel and yet it feels like no matter how many times I'd try to, she wouldn't understand.'
Somehow, it feels so pointless.
"You know what, I'll just lea-"
"Hey!!! Stop fighting like a married couple already." Kotoha interrupted. She was still sitting at the couch as she watch the two argue.
She was having fun at first but seeing Umemiya turning blue and looking like he was about to give up, she deccided to mediate.
"You're making me feel out of place." she then added.
"C-couple?!" Umemiya became flustered but also liked her choice of words, instantly entered his own small world filling it with imaginative scenarios and narrations which were rather far from reality at the moment.
Instantly, he recovered from his sadness.
While Yuki, on the other hand, stopped moving, her thoughts were held captive by the unexpected word. She stared at Umemiya who was patting his red cheeks and returned her gaze anywhere else but his direction.
'Me with... him...?' she thought not liking the idea but when her eyes caught sight of him once again, with the way his eyelines curved along with his bright smile, she feels like she is being drawn closer...
'Marriage...'
'Couple...'
'Love... I'm in love?!!!'
She kept on thinking getting lost in her own headspace as her eyes still remained on him with her brows twitching due to her conflicting emotions but then, her heart strung to a couple of rhythmic sounds... from soft thumping to loud reverberating patterns and slowly, she could feel her cheeks turning rosy... it was hot.
She immediately covered them and glared at the unknowing Umemiya whom also had his eyes on her now.
She glared at the defenseless dreamer, picked up a pillow, thrown it at him and shouted.
"To this?! To this childish Hajime?! Haha you're kidding!!!" She said reaching for another pillow and throwing it at him.
"Hey!"
"Hey, what?!!"
"I-it's not really impossible, right?" She looks at him weirdly as if he has grown another head. His words were not the ones she was expecting.
"What?...Sh-shut up!"
