Erin POV

Dancing under the stars with my new husband I couldn't help but glance around at the paradise he had created for our wedding day. If it was possible I had fallen even deeper in love with him today and in this moment I knew he was right, being together could never be a mistake.

"I can't believe we have three weeks before little miss joins us" he says softly "I'd kind of  hoped she would he early because I couldn't shake the image of us on our wedding day with her in her own little dress"

"It will fly by you'll see" I smile "she will be here before you know it"

"Yeah which leads me to my next suprise" he grins "as of right now I'm on paternity leave, so if she does come early we'll be ready for her"

"I love you Damian" I say looking up into his warm brown eyes "I know I've said it almost a million times but I really do love you more than you will ever understand"

Smiling he places a soft kiss on my lips and then rests his forehead against mine.

"No matter how much you love me I will always love you more" he whispers "both of you"

With a beautiful smile gracing his handsome face he slowly spins me out and back towards him. I giggle as he wraps his arms around me once more but then suddenly stop and his brow furrows

"What is it baby?" He asks

"I don't know something twinged" I say "I'm not sure.......ooohh.......oww there it is again"

"Wepa!" he gasps with wide eyes "uh could, could it be a contraction?"

"I don't know maybe" I say "what do we do?"

"Let's get you to a hospital and get you checked over" he says placing an arm around my shoulders

"D in case you forgot you brought me to the middle of nowhere" I say

"Good point" he says "Is there a doctor in the house?" He shouts out and middle aged gentle comes forward

"I'm a doctor" he says approaching us

"My wife......I think......she may be having contractions"

Damian POV

Nervously I follow behind as the doctor guides Erin to a more private room so he can examine her.

He helps her on to a bed and helps her get comfortable as I watch on not knowing what to do.

"Alright Mr Priest would you mind helping your wife with her gown" he says

"Oh sure" I say rushing over " delicately I help her lift the dress up and over her head I then grab a blanket to cover her

"You were right they are contractions" he says "she's 9cm dilated, how long have you been having them"

"Uh since this morning but I thought they had stopped" she says before her eyes widen "what was that?" She asks

"It's just your water breaking nothing to worry about" he smiles "when I say I want you to start pushing" he says and she nods taking my hand

"Will she ok being early" she asks

"There's no reason for her not to be" he says "do you have a name or are you waiting to see her?" He asks

"We have a name" she says smiling up at me

"Yeah.....Valentina Steffi Priest" I smile

"Right your ready, OK Mrs Priest give me a nice big push" he says

Squeezing my hand she pushes with all her might before laying back down. I gently stroke her hair and kiss her temple as she gathers her energy

"Excellent now we need to get the shoulders out" he says "another big push"

She does as he asks and pushes as I watch on in awe at the woman I love bringing our child into the world.

"That's it, ok one last push and you can hold her" he smiles

With what little energy she has left she pushes one last time and the next sound we hear is the our little girls cries filling the air.

The doctor places her on Erin's chest as we both cry happy tears.

"Look at her D" she cries "she's so beautiful and perfect and she's ours"

"Just like her mami" I smile "Hey baby girl I'm your papi" I say as she takes hold of my pinkie finger

"We did it D" she smiles up at me

"We certainly did" I smile "I guess she wanted to be a part of this after all and I can't think of a better silver lining for this day" I say kissing her temple

"She has your hair and your nose" she smiles

As I gaze at my wife and daughter I was so grateful that we had found our way back to each other. Being with Erin could never and will never be a mistake and if it is then it is definitely a mistake worth making time and time again.
