“Elsie!” Lucifer called out, followed quickly by shrieking giggles of the toddler girl as she ran in the direction of his shared office where Venus was organizing an event, dragging her slightly younger brother, Theo, along for the ride. 

Both children then exclaimed loudly and fell to the carpeted floor in fits of contagious laughter as their dad rounded the corner, only to see both Peter and Charlie playing with their younger siblings in the middle of the hallway. 

Theodore Morningstar took the most after his dad, from the same shade of blond hair, all the way to the rosy cheeks. . . But he had blue eyes rather than red, showing that the Asgardian genes were somehow stronger than the others. 

He was quiet and observant. 

Whereas Elsie Morningstar took after her mom in every aspect possible, minus the rosy cheeks that somehow proved to the world that she was, in fact, the youngest daughter of Lucifer Morningstar. 

She was louder and more straight forward than her brother, even as a toddler. 

It would be a while before they knew the height situation. . .

“Daddy, save us!” Elsie giggled, screaming when Peter slung her over his shoulder. 

“No one can escape the tickle monsters!” Charlie faux yelled, tickling Theo's sides until he was screaming with laughter. 

“Oh, how ever will I save you?” Lucifer asked, feigning helplessness before pretending to fight Charlie and Peter to release the twins. 

The battle was short lived, as Peter and Charlie were quick to let up. They knew the twins hadn't seen their mom for most of the day, primarily because she was working out the details for a ball that would be held in the castle, in honor of their sixth wedding anniversary. 

Once they were all calmed down, Lucifer held their hands as they walked towards the office, Elsie skipping and swinging their hands as they went. “Let's go say hi to Mommy!” Lucifer said.  

Theodore got excited and attempted to run ahead, and Lucifer let him because the door was right at the end of the hall. 

The three reached it in no time at all and Lucifer knocked on the door twice before opening it and allowing the twins to enter. Venus stood from the rolling chair and rounded the desk, just in time for Theo and Elsie to barrel into her. 

“Hi Mommy!” Theo said sweetly, hugging her legs and staring up at her with those pretty blue eyes she loved so very much. 

“Hello, my loves. . . I heard screaming — is everything alright?” She asked Lucifer as she knelt to the kid's levels to hug them properly. 

“Was playing with Lottie and Petey.” Theo responded before Lucifer had the chance to. 

“They were.” Lucifer confirmed, smiling down at his wife and two youngest children with pure adoration in his gaze. “The tickle monsters invaded the castle again.” 

Venus gasped dramatically, causing both children to giggle. “Not the tickle monsters!” She said in faux horror. 

Elsie grabbed her mom's face in her tiny hands, squishing her face slightly. “Mommy, they is not real.” The small girl declared with a straight face. 

“Oh but they are!” Venus replied with an equally straight face, glancing at her husband from the corner of her eye. “They lure you in with snuggles and then they tickle you!” 

She tickled both of their sides simultaneously and they laughed loudly in her ears as they attempted to get away. . . Though soon the tickling ended and Lucifer decided it was a good idea for them to order takeout, because it was getting late.
