Chapter 5: The Trial and Valentino's disappearance

Charlie Morningstar: "Hey Alastor, have you seen Valentino?"

Alastor: No, not at all.

Vaggie: "Where the hell could the goddamn moth be?"

Atrellion's POV:
Now that I have time control powers, I wonder how can I get more powerful, then I saw, trails of glue, as if someone has been eating some. This is very suspicious so I decided to follow the trails. Here, I came across a Temple. Which is said to let people test their worth to join the Assassin's Guild.

As I entered, I met an elf of some sort, no not the christmas elves, he looks human but has pointy ears.

Atrellion: Who are you?

???: I'm Thrym Shadowsong, it seems that you want to start the trial

Knowing that I have to be stronger before I can take on the Demon King, I nodded, meaning the trials start now.

Thrym Shadowsong: The first Trial is to go to the torch as fast as you can.

Well since I have enhanced senses, I went to the torch which was a mile away in a minute.

Thrym seemed impressed but hid this reaction.

Thrym Shadowsong: Very well, the second trial is a test of bravery, you will be sent to a dark maze where not even a torch can light it up. You will have to rely on your other senses than sight, none of the people who joined tried to join the guild did not made it out alive.

This seemed intimidating but I accepted the challenge. Using my other senses, I traversed through most parts of the maze, until I heard this

???: Who is there? I have been starving here for so long.

It's so dark so I couldn't see, until I decided to focus green energy and chakra in my eyes to activate enhanced night vision, where the figure turned out to be a humanoid monster, with a muscular body with a skin color of gray.

Atrellion: If I can't get through the maze without coming into you, I will have to fight you.

???: Tough luck kid, you will never make it out

I aimed time bending shots at this figure, which did a number, slowing him down in time

???: Why is everything so fast right now? I can't even land a hit on you.

Even though he is now slower from the attack, I still had to dodge his punches since one punch from him can knock someone's skull out, yes even though I was wearing a helmet.

I finished him off with a barrage of time shots, all which froze him in time for a split second while stinging him to death.

???: AAAAHHHHHHHHHH*dies*

I took a sample of their DNA and took his strength power so I could bust through the walls. I did this all in ten minutes.

Thrym Shadowsong: That was the longest time someone survived in the maze, let alone complete the trial.

Atrellion: Anyways, who is the figure I killed in the trial?

Thrym Shadowsong: Oh, that is the Guardian, he makes it difficult for the ones who try to complete the trial.

Atrellion: Well, I killed him and obtained his strength.
*Sips a cup of tea from Thrym*

Thrym: Thats impressive, care to join the Assassin's Guild?

It was tempting but I had to decline.

Atrellion: I'm sorry, I have to decline, I need to avenge my village since a demon swept it, I was only able to save my family, not anyone else.

Thrym: I am so sorry you had to experience that, I understand why.

Atrellion: Now I have been tracking a demon who left a trail of glue, I have to go now

Thrym: I see, good luck!

Before I left, I made a living replica of the guardian using its DNA, now I am following the glue trail again.

Alastor's POV:
I was following the trail of glue, Valentino loves eating it even in the hotel, so I just followed the tracks. The path I chose was dangerous, sharp rocks, predators in a forest but I am a demon now, I can't be killed by normal means. I ate venison along the way, live deer.

I even got shot by a hunter who mistook me as a deer, its alright though. I also saw some of the animals eyes are pink, something was off, this is something that can only be done by their saliva; Valentino's saliva. Now I followed the animals until I saw a living being

Third person view:
Both Mystery Ninja and Alastor was following the suspicious signs of Valentino, to the point they came across each other.

"WHO ARE YOU?" The assassin asked to the Radio Demon

"I was going to ask you the same"
Alastor replied, both were showing signs of fight or flight, but both chose to fight

"TAKE THIS!!!!!"
said Atrellion, he was continuously striking Alastor with a pair of Kunai, which Alastor blocked using his cane.

"Your tougher than you look"
Alastor responded, while using his Pyrokinesis to burn the ninja.

"I shouldn't underestimate you either"
Atrellion answered, using the shuriken plus multiple portals technique like he did against Sukuna, Alastor did not took that well and only blocked ten percent, these shurikens were not normal, they actually hurt demons for some reason.

Alastor couldn't understand this at all. Until he used Shadow Sneak; since Alastor can hide in someone's shadow, he used it with his own shadow and bit Atrellion in the back by reemerging from his shadow.

"AAHHHH,THAT ACTUALLY HURTS"

Atrellion retaliated with a punch infused with supernatural strength, which Alastor couldn't handle anymore so he said this in a radio voice

"Please, spare me, I can't afford to die again"

Which made Atrellion stop the assault.

"Alastor? Is that really you"

The boy then healed Alastor's wounds

Alastor replied with a thank you as the two started to talk about their origins.

Alastor was honestly surprised that he is quite popular beyond his home dimension while he frowned when I told him my origins.

Atrellion's POV:
It turns out that both of us were looking for Valentino, I said I was going to kill him, Alastor agreed saying that Valentino has been a big pain in the ass since he entered hell. Now it's the two of us with the same motives, ready to brawl.
