We make it back to the house and see Two-bit fell asleep on the couch while the everyone else went home.
"I think Darry and Soda went to sleep" Johnny says while closing the front door."You guys wanna do something?" Pony asks.
"Like what" I say while walking to the kitchen."Wait do you guys know where Dallas is"
"Oh uh probably with Sylvia" Johnny answers while going to kitchen but actually knocks a cup over,of course it wakes up Two-bit."Woah,fancy meeting you here kids" "Shut up" I say with a small chuckle.
"Hey don't y'all have school tomorrow?"
"Oh shit yea" I say while turning to Pony and Johnny."Yea get to sleep,Johnny you can sleep here" Two-Bit says while getting up and putting his shoes on,Johnny lays down on the couch."Good night Johnny" I say while smiling "Night"
"Come on Pony,let's get to bed" Pony and I walk into my room and lay down.
"Pony i'm worried about Johnny.." "How come,he seems fine?"
Pony never understands when I try to talk about peoples problems especially if they seem perfectly fine.
"Johnny has no kinda chance in this world,not from where he started from,I mean the only reason he's living is us" I claim. "I mean yeah,you're right but,he is getting better" Pony turns to me."I guess you're right" I also turn to look at him.
"Now come on we have to get up in about 4 hours for school" he chuckles.
I scoot closer to him and put my face in his chest while he hugs me."Ponyboy..can I ask you something?" "Yeah,what's up Nor" he answers in a soft tone.
"Promise me nothings going to change" I look up at him."what do you mean?" Pony looks down at me."that nothings going to change,we are always going to comeback here,to this place with these people."
"Nora,I promise okay?" He says in a reassuring voice.
"I love you Ponyboy" "I love you too Nora" he rubs my back.I hear him falling asleep while I also doze off.
••••••••~~MORNING~~••••••••
I slowly wake up and open my eyes while I feel Ponyboys arms around me. I try to get up but he tightens his arms.
"Well good morning love" he says in a sleepy voice "Good morning Pony" I blush.
"What time is it" "5:30" Pony answers.
"Gosh,I don't want to get up" I say while turning to him "Me too but we have too" He slowly gets up."What if I don't" I ask while pulling the blanket on me.
"then i'll make you" he pulls the blanket off and pick me up "Pony!" I shout in surprise.
"here now get ready" he puts me down on my desk."Fine" I get up and walk to the Bathroom.
"Morning Nora" Soda says while walking past me into my room,"Hey why are you going to my room" "I gotta ask Ponyboy something" He continues walking."Um okay i guess" I continue to walk to the bathroom.
I make a shower and brush my teeth.
I walk into my room and see Pony sitting up on the bed."Hey Pony is everything alright?" "Yeah just tired" he replies,"Okay if you say so.."
"I'm gonna go get ready" He says while standing up and walking to the door,"Oh okay.."
I lightly curl my hair and do some light makeup because i'm too tired to do much.I put on darkish blue jeans with a black shirt and a leather jacket Dallas gave me because it was too small for him.
"Nora,Pony come on let's go!" I hear Darry call out. "Coming!" I yell back as I hear Pony running downstairs.
"woah,you look gorgeous Nor" Pony says while hugging my from behind,"Thanks Pony" I say while turning around to face him.He Kisses me and I kiss him back."Cut it out before Darry sees" I hear Soda demand.
"Yeah Yeah whatever" I say while pulling away from Ponyboy."Now go" Soda jesters to the door.
Pony and I walk to the car where Darry is
waiting."Okay,Remember if anything happens then just come home" Darry says while pulling up to the school.
"We are fine" I say
Darry has been nervous that we are gonna get jumped because Johnny got jumped about 2 months ago then 2 weeks later I did.
"Bye guys" Darry yells from the car as Pony and I yell back.
"Well let's go to first period" Pony says as the bell rings (Nora, Pony, and Johnny have all classes together because I say so)
"Hey guys wait up" I hear Johnny call from behind."Hey Johnny Cakes!" I smile and give him a side hug so does Ponyboy.
Me,Ponyboy,And Johnny get to first period amd sit next to each other,and of course,the one and only Cherry Valance sits infront of us.
I saw Pony and Johnny look at me from the corner of my eye but ignore it because I don't want to remember that night.
"Hey your Nora right,from the drive-in" Cherry turns around to me.
"Oh uh..Yeah I guess"
"Oh Hi Ponyboy" She smiles at him.I turn to look at Johnny,"Jeez,I have to deal with this all year?" I scoff "I guess so" he lets out a small chuckle.
"So,Your dating her..?" I hear Cherry ask Pony in a weird tone,"Yeah,We've been together for about a month" He says proudly.
I was ashamed,this pretty and popular cheerleader was talking to Ponyboy Curtis,A greaser and the thing holding him back was me.
"Hi-a Cherry" Another girl I don't really recognize comes up and sits next to her.
"Hi Marcia!" Cherry said giving the girl a hug.
"Oh,Hello i'm Marcia" She puts out her hand for a handshake,me not wanting to seem rude shakes it.
"I'm Nora,Winston nice to meet you" I say to her and smile.
"I'm Ponyboy Curtis" "And i'm Johnny cade.."
"Pony your brother works at a gas station,DX I think right" Cherry asks while Pony nods his head."Oh Yeah Sodas the cute one" Marcia says with a smile.
"Yeah he's a doll,I should've known you two was brother"
I looked at Cherry and she had already turned around to her desk after saying that.Then I looked at Pony and he was just writing in his notebook.
