Akshita's hands trembled slightly due to nervousness as she felt the foreign sensation inside her for the first time. Her heart and mind raced with several questions and doubts, which made her breath irregular.

She couldn't help but wonder if she was truly ready for this, for this new chapter of her life. The questions arrived in her mind like unwanted guests, making her stomach twist into knots.

She took a deep breath in order to calm her racing thoughts. She thought of all the moments she shared with Yug, the laughter, the adventures, and the times when they cried in each other's embrace.

Her nerves began to settle, replaced by a feeling of determination and hope. As she looked in the mirror in front of her, she saw a strong woman staring back at her with hopeful eyes.

She smiled weakly, her eyes blurring with tears. She was ready to embark on this new journey, to promise her brother that she'd save him no matter what to keep him with her forever. The nervousness was still there, but it was no longer overwhelming.

"Ma'am, do you like it?" The lady asked after finishing the work on her hair. Akshita was snapped out of her thought due to sudden voice. She smiled and nodded, "It's beautiful, Thank you!" Akshita replied appreciating her efforts.

"Aaj toh devar ji ki nazar hi nhi hate ne wali aapse devrani ji," A voice came from behind as Akshita looked at Amira standing, through the mirror as she walked towards Akshita.

[Today, brother-in-law won't be able to take his eyes off you,]

Amira took a little bit of kohl from her own eyes and applied it behind Akshita's ear. "kisiki nazar na lage!"

[May nobody cast an evil eye!]

"Sahi kia, Amira. Hamari Akshita lag hi itni sundar rahi hai," Chahat entered and did the same as Amira before patting Akshita's head in an assuring way.

Akshita felt a bit calm after the interaction as she crossed her fingers, hoping everything would go well as they had planned.

After some talk, the trio of Akshita, Amira and Chahat departed from the room, ready to make their way downstairs. Amira was not leaving a single opportunity to tease Akshita throughout the way, while Akshita could do nothing but cast her lashes down.

On the other side, all the arrangements were already made for the engagement. Avyay sat in his seat, feeling extremely impatient and anxious as he tapped his foot on the marble floor continuesly making a click sound with each tap.

His heart was pounding so loudly inside his chest as if it would come out any second. He feared that anyone near him could hear the sound of his heartbeat.

"Bhai, vo rahin Bhabhi..." Kritika and Preeti whispered softly into Avyay's ears.

Without wasting a second, he diverted his gaze to the staircase where Akshita was descending with Amira walking beside her. Her lashes were cast down, creating a gentle shadow on her cheekbones.
