(~Your POV~)

'Where is it?'

I scour the kitchen cabinets. My medication that prevents my seizures. I can't find it. Normally I'd have it in my purse but I must've misplaced it yesterday.

"Mama! I'm all packed! So is Serif! He needs help with moving his magic distributor!" I hear Roman call from the bedroom. Every other week, they sleep over for a day at Blue's.

'I almost forgot. I need to get Serif's injection.'

I rush to the fridge, as we have to keep them cold per the instructions. I grab a box containing one dose. I find myself hesitant.

'I could probably bring Blue an extra or two. It would spare me the headache of bringing them every time.'

I listen to my own reasoning and grab another dose. Now Blue will have the injection needed for tomorrow and an extra for next time they stay overnight. I slip both boxes into my purse.

'Now to pack up Serif's machine-'

I rush to the twins' bedroom to help the boys.

(~Your POV + Time Skip~)

I readjust my garden gloves.

'Almost done.'

I put my sponge back into my bucket of soapy water. After rinsing out majority of the water, I continue scrubbing the dirt off of Papyrus' headstone. Roman remains by my side, quiet as a mouse. I would expect him to be excited. He usually always helps me while telling his dad all about what's going on in life. We can never be sure if Honey actually hears us from somewhere, but we talk to him anyway. It's quite unusual for Roman to have nothing to say.

I pull some weeds out of the ground and throw them aside. "S-Something o-on your mind, Pumpkin?" "Do you think Dad would like us?" He asks softly.

"He w-w-would. He loved y-you both u-unconditionally e-even before you were born." I answer, not giving the question much thought. The boys have already asked me that at one time or another. "Yeah but what if he met us now? Would he still love us then?" I pause.

Roman seems nervous, really nervous. I finish the cleaning by washing off the suds with fresh water. I put the small vase back in its place and then hold out my arms to Roman. He hands me the fresh bouquet of orange and brown flowers that he was holding. We bring a new batch of flowers every few weeks. I always let the twins pick them out. "Of course he would. W-What m-m-makes y-you think that he wouldn't?" I ask him.

Roman looks away from me. I start to get a little suspicious. "Roman? You m-make me n-n-nervous when y-you're quiet." I take a quick look behind me. Serif is staring at me from the safety of the car. He's got his breathing machine with him.

"What would you do? If you could bring him back? Would you do it?" Meanwhile, Roman is really pushing the subject. I place my hands on my lap and take a deep breath. "Roman, we can't c-change what's already h-happened-" "But what if you could?!" He insists. "Death is a part of life, Pumpkin. Yes, it hurts, but we have to move on eventually. I knew that. Uncle Sans knew that. Your dad knew that. The more we tried to fight it, the more it hurt us."

"But I don't want to accept it! It's not fair!!!" Roman yells. It feels like my heart is breaking all over again. I remember I used to feel the exact way he does, both with my mom and with Papyrus. When I saw the people that didn't have to deal with such an illness, I became bitter. I won't blame Roman for feeling this way, but I don't want him to make the same mistakes as I did.

"I'm going to bring him back. They promised they'd bring him back." Roman states, his eyes fixed on the gravestone. "He won't die. We'll be a family again." "Roman, i-it's n-n-not possible to..." I cut myself off with a sigh. It's hard to explain these sort of things to a child. He already knows this stuff.

'If I can't reason with him, I'll distract him.'

I stand up and offer my hand to him, "Come on, it's time to head to Uncle Blue's. Your brother is waiting." Roman looks at me defiantly, "No." He stands up but refuses to take my hand. "He will come back!" His eye lights suddenly change from orange to bright red. I step back in fear.

'Determination!? How the heck did my son get determination?!'

"Frisk says they'll bring him back! Why won't you believe me?!" Blended orange and red flames summon by his side. Roman's emotions have gotten out of hand. "Roman! Stop!!! You'll hurt Mama!" Serif is now running towards us. I urgently turn to him, "Serif! Get back in the car!!!" Of course, he doesn't listen to me but instead runs faster to meet up with us.

I bend down and grab Roman by the shoulders, "Roman, I need you to calm down. What are you talking about?"

(~Roman's POV~)

I ignore Mama and turn to Frisk. Their translucent figure stands beside me, outlined in red. They've been with me since yesterday, but they already explained that no one except Chara can see or talk to them.

'I gave you what you wanted. Now how do I bring Dad back?'

They smile, "You're quite impatient. However, you did hold up on your end of the deal..."

Suddenly, everything is black around me. Only Frisk and I remain in this dark place. A bright yellow star soon appears. "Here's the first step~ Once you do this, there's no going back." They warn.

'I want this nightmare to be over. I want my dad!'

"I don't care!" I grab ahold of the star and crush it in my hands. Two boxes appear in its place.

[* RESET ]

I stare at them before looking to Frisk for instruction. "Go ahead. Reset and it'll all be yours~ We'll find your dad, together." Without hesitation, I select the option to reset.

There is a fluttering feeling in my soul. Next thing I know, I'm falling. Mama and Serif are both screaming. We're all falling into the darkness. My soul goes into full panic. Frisk is no longer with me.

'We're going to die!'

Without warning, I'm pulled into Mama's arms as well as Serif. The ground is growing closer. I can see it. My pupils shrink.

'This wasn't supposed to happen! Wake up- WAKE UP!!!'

"I love you both." Mama says quickly before curling herself around us. "MAMA, NO!" Serif shrieks, fear overtaking him. Mama protectively uses her body to shield us until suddenly... We hit solid ground.
