(~Honey's POV~)

Y/N whines softly in her sleep. I cup a hand around the back of her head and gently press my mouth to her forehead. "Don't worry.. I'm here." I whisper. "Mm.." Her body shifts and soon she has her arms wrapped under mine and around my back. I sigh a breath of relief. Trust me when I say that asking Y/N to sleep in the bedroom with me tonight was a stretch. The boys sleep with Sans for majority of the time so it was sad watching her sleep on the couch by herself. When I asked, I wasn't expecting her to say yes. Y/N's head snuggles against my ribcage and I hold my breath.

'At least I can make sure she's getting the rest she needs. She's been getting barely enough.'

While one hand stays around her head, my other hand loosely holds around her waist. Slowly, I pull her body closer to mine. I don't get any complaints from her.

'Is it bad that I don't want to let her go?'

It's hard to say what our relationship is right now. We act as if we're a couple. However, we've never really sat down and discussed where we want this to go. I know what I want. Memories or not, I always feel my soul pulling myself to Y/N. I want to be by her side. I want to help lift all of the burdens off of her back. I want to be a father for the twins if she'd let me.

'I want to be a family again.'

I nearly flinch when I hear my door creak open.

'Must be Sans making his nightly rounds, I guess?'

My back is facing the door so I don't actually see who it is. When I briefly peek over my shoulder, I see Serif already turning his back and leaving.

'He's still up, hm?'

"Kid?" I speak up, hoping he'd hear me. He doesn't come back. I sigh. I assume Y/N would want to check on him but I really don't want to wake her up. I check the time on my phone and go half blind from the brightness. I slightly groan to myself. I told Sans to stop putting the brightness up on my phone. Anyways, it's after midnight. Serif shouldn't be walking around. He should be in bed.

As I pull away from Y/N and sit up on the edge of my bed, Y/N groans, "P-Pap? What are you d-doing?" I can hear the slurs of exhaustion in her voice. I turn towards her and run one hand through her hair. "I'm just going check on the kids. I'll be right back."

"Alright.." Y/N's tired eyes stare at me for a moment before she nuzzles her head into the pillows. I smirk and pet her head one last time to help her relax. She closes her eyes, pulls the blanket around herself, and then drifts back to sleep. I find myself wondering how I managed to be so lucky.

'Okay, now to check on the kid.'

I silently exit my room. The house is really dark but the glow from my eyes gives me enough light to see the area in front of me. Down the hall, the door to my bro's room is already open. I take a look inside. Sans is sleeping soundly in his bed. That normally in itself would be a big relief. There's just one problem.

'Where are the kids?'

Now it's not just Serif, Roman's roaming too. I take a look downstairs. I can only manage to see halfway down the stairs but the kids definitely aren't in here. Their eyes glowing in the dark would be the biggest sign of them being in the house. On the contrary, the whole house is completely dark.

'Crap.'

I rush downstairs. I grasp my hand around the doorknob to the front door. I have to go look for them. That's when I got the scare of my life. A young voice speaking in our native tongue, Wingdings.
