(~Honey's POV~)

Y/N never yelled or screamed at me but she certainly hasn't decided to look or talk to me either. All I've been doing is beating myself up over what happened. I messed with the Phoenix and now I'm getting burned hard by her silent treatment.

Dinner never really happened. Normally we'd all hang out in the living room for meal times since my bro and I lack an actual dining area. Although, Y/N and I are the only ones down here. Blue had to rest after using much of his magic and he's the one who normally cooks. I'm pretty sure the twins are with him in his room again. They've been sleeping with him almost every night since they've been here. Besides, they wouldn't want to be around me anyway.

'How long have they been here? Close to making a week now?'

"Here." Y/N approaches me and offers a plate of freshly made tacos. I grab a plate from her and she silently sits with me on the couch. "You made these?" I get no answer from her. She was in the kitchen for a while so I can only assume that she did. I take a bite. After the satisfying crunch, different flavors of spices and ingredients hit my mouth. The spices she used in the meat are phenomenal, but it also has a certain smokiness to it- My bro definitely needs to get her recipe. "You infused this with your fire magic, didn't you?" Y/N doesn't share the same enthusiasm as me.

"Papyrus, w-we n-need to talk." I don't have to ask to know the chosen topic is about earlier. "You never mentioned that the kid had determination." It's suspicious and dangerous. Monster souls can't handle concentrated amounts of DT. From what I could tell in his eyes, which is in direct correlation with his magic, Roman was full of it. "He's n-not supposed to. H-He wasn't born w-with it and hasn't even u-u-used it u-until more recently. I d-don't k-know where it came from." Y/N explains. At least the both of us can agree on him not needing it.

Still, that leaves the other subject. "Look... I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to hurt him. Can you at least tell me if he's alright?" Y/N grabs at her head, speaking in a softer tone, "A f-few s-scratches on his s-s-spine and skull. B-Blue checked him out a-and s-says it'll be okay but.. Roman d-d-doesn't remember h-half of the battle. H-He d-doesn't k-know what happened." I don't know whether I should be grateful or worried.

'Did he have a concussion? That's actually a common thing for us skeletons when there's nothing really to protect our skull.'

"GoD, my head." Y/N groans. She must be in pain again. I don't know why but my bro did say she has health problems of her own. When we read through her journal last night, there was a period where it mentioned Y/N being involved in an incident. She hasn't opened up about it though and I won't force her to. We've been giving her painkillers for her headaches but it doesn't seem to help much. I suppose monster medicines don't last as long for humans?

"Are you okay?" "T-T-These m-migraines are k-killing m-me." She replies. Y/N then bends over with both hands gripped onto her head. "Have you asked Sans for help? He's a great healer." Y/N interrupts me, frustrated, "It doesn't w-work like that." Y/N randomly deviates from the conversation and gets up while muttering, "What was that kid's name?"

'What kid?'

I arch an eyebrow and watch her pace in circles across the living room. "Y/N, an explanation would be helpful." "Roman claims he g-g-got h-help from a f-friend of Chara's. I-It's h-how we ended up here in t-the first place. F-For the l-l-life of me, I c-can't remember the name. It was so f-familiar but I can't-" She growls mid sentence and suddenly punches the wall closest to her, "DANG IT!"

'WoAH-'

I get up and rush to her side. "Hey, it's alright! Don't hurt yourself! I'm sure it'll come to ya sooner or later." "We don't have t-time, Honey. R-Roman isn't h-h-himself and I-I don't even know w-why! I-I don't know if they d-d-did a-anything to him or his magic. I... I wasn't there for him." There's no doubt that her insecurities quickly take over. She goes quiet and tightly hugs her arms around herself. I want to comfort her so badly. How could she have known? I'm sure she had plenty of other things on her mind at the time. It's easy for something to slip past in that kind of situation. It wasn't even her fault. One of my hands reaches towards her shoulder.
