(~Your POV + Time Skip~)

"You'll m-make s-sure to stay close to U-Uncle Blue, okay?" I make it clear to the twins that I want them to stay safe. Both of them nod along. They're full of excitement. So, I doubt they're actually listening to me.

Blue places a hand on the back of my arm and comforts me, "It'll be fine, Y/N. Besides, they already stay with me all the time! We're very well behaved, the best even." I do my best to relax myself. I would go with them if it weren't for three specific reasons:

1. I've had this skull-breaking migraine since 3 AM and don't have the energy to go out.

2. Humans are not exactly welcome here down in the underground.

3. The twins deserve some time with their family.

'Things will be a lot safer for them now that our Blue is back. They'll be okay.'

I stand up and my gaze quickly finds Papyrus. He's been real quiet since everything happened with Blue. Sans has actually adjusted quite fast to his brother being alive. It's almost as if Blue never gained his memory at all. I wish I could be the same way. I can only imagine how all of this feels for Honey.

'He can't remember us, his family, even though his brother could.'

I approach Papyrus and reach out my hands towards his face. This startled him. He flinched as I gently pulled his hood up and over his skull. Knowing how he is, he'll get embarrassed easily. The least I can do is make it easier on him. I smile at Pap and speak jokingly, "You watch over our kids, alright? Blue's great at watching them but he can get a little distracted sometimes." His pupils shrink and his face glows bright orange. God- how I missed seeing his face. I missed my husband, my soulmate, so freaking much. Now he's here, but it's still not the same.

(~Honey's POV~)

'... Our kids...'

I feel my soul beating out of my chest at the simple thought. Me losing control of my emotions all over a single phrase.

'Why does that feel so good to hear? I don't deserve this. I don't deserve them... I don't deserve her.'

The moment of joy didn't last forever. Y/N's smile slipped away. The hope in her eyes faded. I wish I could know what she is thinking. Y/N runs a hand through her hair as she looks away from me. "If those kids come back hurt, I'll pound you back into dust myself." She growls softly. All I have the thought process to do is nod.

"Come on, Brother!" Sans calls out. Him and the twins are already halfway out the door. I give Y/N once last glance before rushing after them. Sans allowed the kids get ahead of us as long as they stay within a safe distance. Roman would be in Hotland already if it weren't for his brother holding him back. Serif stops every few moments with widened eyes. He's certainly taking everything in. He will find any little thing, pull his brother beside him, and they gawk at it together.

'They don't even know we're here.'

Blue must've noticed my staring. He explains, "Serif never really had the chance to leave the house much." I feel like a little kid. I only have bits and pieces to the story but no one has even tried to explain it to me. Not to mention that he has medicine he's supposed to take. It sounds pretty serious. "What does he have? He looks just like any other kid." My brother slows his pace and so do I. "You really don't remember anything, Pap, do you?"
