Chapter 42

Third Person POV:

Todoroki and Jirou quickly worked to contact Yayarozu, explaining the situation as they packed up their findings from Dabi's apartment. It didn't take long before Yayarozu arrived, her expression serious as she inspected the scene.

"This is troubling," Yayarozu said as she created a small, portable DNA tester from her body. The device hummed softly as it powered up, ready to analyze the bloodstains Todoroki and Jirou had discovered. She carefully collected a sample and inserted it into the device.

"We need to know whose blood this is," Todoroki said, his voice steady despite the tension hanging in the air.

Yayarozu nodded, focusing intently on the task. The DNA tester worked quickly, analyzing the sample with precision. After a few minutes, the device beeped, and Yayarozu's eyes widened as she read the results.

"It's... it's Shigaraki's blood," Yayarozu said, her voice laced with shock and confusion.

"What?!" Jirou gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. "How could Shigaraki have been here?"

Todoroki's brow furrowed as he tried to piece together the implications. "If Shigaraki was here, then that means... Hawks must have been fighting him. But why would Shigaraki be at Dabi's apartment?"

"Maybe Shigaraki was trying to find Bakugou and Dabi," Yayarozu suggested, her mind racing. "If he's injured, that could mean Hawks got the upper hand... but it doesn't explain everything."

"We need to tell Mr. Aizawa about this," Todoroki said, determination hardening his voice. "And we should keep an eye on the news—if Hawks is involved, this could escalate quickly."

As they made their way out of Dabi's apartment, Todoroki's phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out to see Kirishima's name flashing on the screen. He answered the call immediately.

"Kirishima, what's up?" Todoroki asked, his voice calm but alert.

"Dude, you need to check the news, like, I don't know if Bakugou is connected to this or not." Kirishima's voice was filled with urgency. Jirou being one step ahead pulled out her phone and had the news up.

"What's going on?" Todoroki asked as he, Jirou, and Yayarozu watched what was going on.

"Some of The League of Villains is causing chaos in the city! They're attacking a police station but it looks like all of the League is there except Shigaraki!" Kirishima exclaimed.

Jirou's heart skipped a beat. "Which police station?"

"The one on 23rd and Elm! It's all over the news! They're saying it's some kind of coordinated attack!" Kirishima explained.

"23rd on Elm... That's where they're holding Dabi," Todoroki muttered, piecing it together. "They must be trying to break Dabi out."

"But that doesn't explain why he thinks they are connected to Bakugou." Yayarozu mentions.

"No, I believe Kirishima is right to believe they are connected." Todoroki said.

"What are you thinking Todoroki?" Sero asked since he and Kaminari were still with the redhead.

"Don't you rememeber?" Jirou questioned, almost quizzing their memory.

"No..? Remember what?" Kaminari asked.

"Both Dabi and Bakugou have grown really close while he was little and losing his memory." Jirou explains. "He could possibly remember everything unlike Motorists, he might want to break Dabi out."

"That's exactly what he is doing." Yayarozu said.

"We need to get over there," Jirou said, her expression grim as she listened to the conversation.
