The first week in Chicago was a whirlwind of excitement and adjustment for Monica, Angel, and the kids. Their new house was starting to feel like home, but there was still a lot to do. The unpacking seemed never-ending, and each day brought new tasks and small victories.

The house was spacious, with a large living room that had big windows letting in plenty of sunlight. The kids quickly found their favorite spots. Melo was thrilled with his new game room, where Angel had set up his PS5 and other gaming gear. Rodney was excited about his music corner, complete with a keyboard and headphones. Laiyah's room was filled with her favorite toys and a brand-new Nintendo Switch. Angel had also set up a nail kit for Laiyah, so she could indulge in her favorite hobby.

Every morning, Monica and Angel woke up early to start unpacking. The first day in the new house was dedicated to getting the kitchen in order. Boxes of pots, pans, and dishes were unpacked and put away. Monica found a spot for the coffee maker and made sure the pantry was stocked with their essentials. Angel helped organize the shelves and arranged the appliances on the countertops.

While Monica and Angel worked inside, the kids explored the backyard. The yard was huge, with space for a swing set and a garden. On the third day, they focused on the bedrooms. Monica and Angel worked together to arrange the beds and dressers. They put up curtains and hung up clothes in the closets. Angel decided to take the kids out for a treat that weekend. She wanted to celebrate their new home and give them something to look forward to. They drove to a nearby park, where they had a picnic lunch. The kids played on the swings and climbed on the jungle gym. The kids settled into their new routines. Melo joined a local basketball league, and Rodney signed up for music lessons at a nearby studio.
