Monica POV:
Angel has been spoiling me since I've met her so I went to my glam room to speak on the phone with my travel agent while she's still asleep to book a trip to Anguilla.
After I got off the phone with the travel agent I walked out of my glam room and went back into my bedroom and Angel was up doing something on her phone.
"Hey, you weren't in the bed when I woke up" she said
"I went to the glam room to discuss business with my team" I said while sitting on the bed
"Oh ok. Rodney asked me to buy him a Roland TR-8S but I don't even know what that is" she said
"It's used for making beats" I said
"Oh ok, where can I buy it from?" She asked
"You have my kids so spoiled. You can order it online though" I said
"I have all of y'all spoiled to be honest but I love spoiling y'all." She said while putting in her card information to order the Roland TR-8S Rodney wanted
"You really ordered it?" I asked
"Of course. Whatever they want they get. Is it ok with you though?" She asked
"Yes, it's ok. I'm just not used to someone spoiling my kids as much as me" I said
"Get used to it" she said while kissing my cheek and then I heard a knock on the door
"Come in" I said and Melo walked into the room
"What's up Melo" Angel said
"Angel! What's up" he said while walking over to dap her up
"What do you need? You never come in here unless you want something so what you want now?" I asked and he started laughing
"That's not true mom but I want to go to the mall with my friends and then we're going to top golf so I need some more money" he said
"I just gave you 2,000 yesterday. You spent it all already? I asked
"No, I have like 300 left" he said
"How much do you think you need?" I asked
"Since I have 300 left I just need 4700 more" he said
"You need 5,000 in total? Jeez! What all are you trying to get?" I asked
"I don't know yet but I want to have enough just in case I do find something" he said
"I'll give it to him" Angel said
"I got it" I said
"It's ok. I already told you whatever y'all want y'all get. I'll send it to him" Angel said going on her phone to send him the money. This girl makes me love her more everyday.
"Thank you Angel. I just got it" he said
"You're welcome" she said as he walked over to do there handshake and then he left the room
"Thank you for helping out baby" I said while giving Angel a kiss
"You're welcome" she said
"Are you ever going to let me pay for anything?" I said
"Yes, when I'm not around or if you're doing something for me. I won't do everything for the kids but I will help you out so you don't have to do it alone" she said
"You're the best" I said while smiling at her
"Thank you. We're a team now" she said
"Ready to meet my mom and step dad?" I asked
"Yes, where are they?" She asked
"They're probably outside sitting on the patio. Come one" I said and we left the room and went downstairs and walked outside to the patio and that's where they were
"Hey mom and dad. I have someone for you to meet" I said getting their attention
"This is my girlfriend Angel, Angel this is my mom and dad" I said
"It's nice meet you" she said while shaking my dad's hand and hugging my mom
"Nice to meet you too. We've heard great things about you" they both said
"I'm glad to hear that" Angel said
"Angel let me talk to you real quick" my dad said while standing up and I went and sat down with my mom while they went to talk
"Her young age doesn't concern you at all?" My mom asked
"It did in the beginning but it doesn't bother me now. She's not the average 22 year old. She's wise beyond her years and she has a lot going on for herself" I said
"I can tell she's a great person. I support you always" my mom said
"Thank you mom" I said while giving her a hug
Angel POV:
Monica's dad pulled me to another sitting area that wasn't as close to Monica and her mom to talk
"What made you want to have a serious relationship with my daughter" he asked
"Your daughter is an amazing person. I've seen how selfless she is and how much she loves her faith and her family. She's extremely loyal and supportive. She's been my biggest supporter since I've met her. Your daughter is everything I could want in a person. I know she comes with great responsibility and a life that's constantly evolving but I'm here to support her in any way I can and I plan on being with her forever." I said
"She told me you weren't the average 22 year old but not I see it for myself. You're a great person and I'm glad my daughter met you. Don't ruin it because I actually like you and I'm rooting for you both" he said
"Yes sir. You have my word" I said
"Great, let's go back to them before they get worried" he said and I laughed
We walked back over to where Monica and her mom were sitting and sat down.
"He didn't scare you off did he?" Her mom asked
"No ma'am he didn't" I said
"Ok, I'm going to go cook. I'll see you both whenever you come in the house" her mom said and her and her husband went inside of the house
"I love your parents" I said putting my arm around Monica
"I think they love you too" she said leaning into me
We were just sitting there and then Laiyah came outside and sat on the other side of me and laid her head on my lap
"Hi princess" I said speaking to her
"Hi mama" Monica said
"Hey mom. Hey Angel." She said
"Do you want something like your brothers or do you actually want to be around us" Monica asked
"I do want to be around y'all but I saw a Kurt Geiger purse and the shoes that match that I want" she said
"Ok, here's my card" I said taking my card out of my wallet so she could order what she wanted
"Spoiled" Monica said whispering into my ear
"It's hard to tell y'all no" I said back to Monica
"Clearly" she said while laughing
"Thank you Angel. You're the best 2nd mom ever" she said while getting up to go back in the house
"She just called me her 2nd mom" I said to Monica with shock in my eyes
"She did. Let's go inside so we can start packing" Monica said while smiling
"Packing for?" I asked while we were walking up the stairs
"We're going on a trip but I'm not telling you where yet" she said
"Can I at least have a hint? Is the place hot or cold so I can know what to go get from the store" I said
"It's hot" she said
"You're really not going to tell me where we're going?" I asked
"Nope. It's a surprise!" She said
