Monica POV: Angel and I are up getting ready to leave the hotel to go to the airport and her phone started blowing up while she was in the shower.
"Babe, someone keeps calling and texting you back to back" I said
"Can you see who it is?" She asked
"Yes" I said while going to grab her phone off of the table next to the bed
I grabbed her phone and it was her mom going off on her about being with me

I was so shocked from the messages. This is exactly what I was worried about in the beginning. Maybe her mom is right.
I sat down on the bed replaying the messages over and over in my head.
"Here's your phone" I said while putting the phone in her hand and went to take a shower.
I don't know why I have an attitude with Angel when it's not her fault but her mom's messages hurt my feelings and she's not here for me to be mad at.
Angel must've read the messages because she came jogging into the bathroom to check on me
"I'm sorry about that. I'm going to handle it, I promise" she said
"Maybe she's right. Maybe I am too old for you" I said
"She doesn't get to decide who's too "old" for me. You're not too old for me. You're perfect for me, don't worry about her. She'll come around, it's me and you." She said
"So my age doesn't bother you at all?" I asked
"No, your age doesn't bother me. It never comes up in my mind. I want to be with you. Either she's going to support us or she's not but I'm not leaving you." She said
"Thank you for the reassurance. You could've waited until I was out the shower to talk to me baby" I said
"No I couldn't have, I wanted to talk to you before you started overthinking and creating 1000 scenarios in your head" she said and I busted out laughing
"You know me so well" I said while continuing to laugh
"Yes I do, I'll leave you to finish showering" she said while walking out of the bathroom and closing the door
We were literally talking to each other through a shower curtain, that's crazy.
After I got out the shower and started drying off, I heard Angel on the phone going back and forth with her mom
"That's not your decision to make mom. I'm 22, I can decide who I want to be with. You haven't even met her but you're judging her because of her age. I've never been this happy with someone in my life. She's not going anywhere Mom. I plan on marrying her one day so you either are going to support us or you aren't but I'm not ending anything." I heard her say
"She wants to marry me one day?" I said to myself
"Mom, I'll talk to you later" she said hanging up the phone seeing me come in the room
