After breakfast, Monica decided it was the perfect time to talk to the kids about their feelings regarding the move. She wanted to understand their preferences before making any final decisions. With the kids seated comfortably in the living room, Monica began the conversation.

"Hey, kids," Monica started, her tone gentle and open, "we've been talking a lot about moving to Chicago and starting a new chapter here. I want to know how you're feeling about it. Do you think you'd like to move to Chicago, or do you want to stay in Atlanta?"

Melo, who was usually the most vocal of the three, spoke up first. "I think Chicago is really cool. The parks are huge, and there are so many things to do. I like the museums we visited, and the food is great. I would have a lot of fun living here."

Rodney nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I like it too. I've been having a blast with the music stuff and the new games you set up. The city feels different, but in a good way. I think it would be exciting to live here and see more of what it has to offer."

Laiyah, the youngest, added her thoughts. "I like the parks a lot, and I had fun with my new nail kit. Everyone here seems nice, and there's so much to do. I think living here would be really fun."

Monica listened intently to each child. She could see that they were genuinely excited about the move. Her heart swelled with relief and happiness as she realized how positive they felt about the new city.

"I'm really glad to hear that you all like Chicago," Monica said warmly. "It sounds like you're excited about the new experiences and opportunities here."

Melo's eyes lit up. "So, does this mean we're moving for sure?"

Monica took a deep breath, her thoughts focused on how to best approach the situation. "Well, we still need to discuss it with your mom, but hearing how you all feel is really helpful. It's important to us that everyone is happy with the decision."

The kids exchanged excited looks, their anticipation growing. They had been hoping for this outcome and were pleased that their opinions were being considered.

Later that day, as Angel walked through the door after a productive basketball practice, Monica greeted her with a smile. "Hey, babe! How was practice?"

"It was good," Angel replied, stretching her tired muscles. "I'm happy to be home. How did things go with the kids today?"

Monica guided Angel to the living room where the kids were playing and chatting. They took a seat on the couch, and Monica looked at Angel with a mix of excitement and seriousness.

"So, I had a talk with the kids today," Monica began. "I asked them how they felt about moving to Chicago versus staying in Atlanta. They all said they'd prefer to move here."

Angel's eyes widened in surprise, but a smile slowly spread across her face. "Really? They all said that?"

Monica nodded. "Yes, they did. Melo said he likes the parks and museums here. Rodney enjoys the new music equipment and games, and Laiyah loves the parks and the activities she's been doing. They all seem really excited about the idea of moving."

Angel sat down, taking in the news. "Wow, that's great to hear. I was a bit worried about how they would adjust."

Monica reached out and took Angel's hand. "They're really happy about the move. They've enjoyed their time here and are looking forward to what's next."

Angel's face softened with relief. "That makes things a lot easier. I want them to be happy and feel good about where we live."

Monica squeezed Angel's hand and smiled. "I know. And their feelings are important to me. It helps a lot to know they're excited about the move."

Angel looked thoughtful. "We still need to think about a few things, like finding a new home and getting everything ready. But knowing the kids are on board is a big step."

Monica nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. We need to make sure we're ready for this change. But it feels good to know that the kids are excited and that we're making a decision that will work for our family."

The conversation continued as they discussed their next steps. They talked about the logistics of moving, the process of finding a new home, and how they would prepare for the transition. Monica and Angel also spoke about the support they would need to make the move as smooth as possible for the kids.

As the evening approached, the family gathered for dinner and continued to talk about their plans. Angel and Monica felt a renewed sense of clarity and purpose. They knew that moving to Chicago was the right choice for their family, and they were eager to embrace the new opportunities that awaited them.

That night, as the family settled into their new routine, they felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. They knew there would be challenges ahead, but they were confident that, with each other's support, they could make the transition a positive and successful experience for everyone.
