Chapter 51

"Sakshi, I said, step aside" arjun growled.

"And I said it's enough arjun" she said making arjun glare, "It will be enough when I will say it is enough. You're no one to tell me what to do. Dono mere hih bache hn and I know how to discipline them".

Arjun looked at rohit, who was standing away from them, looking down, playing with his fingers. A wave of guilt hit him. His eyes softened and he called him out softly, "Rohit... mera beta idhar aa (come here)" rohit looked up hearing his soft tone. He took small steps towards him.

Once he came close, arjun pulled him into his embrace. Rohit got startled at his sudden action but wrapped his arms around him. Arjun slowly caress his back, "Shh.. mera bacha... I am sorry... bhai ki jaan" arjun said softly, caressing his ear. Rohit heart leapt at his action.

Rohit snuggle onto his chest, hiding himself in his arms, "It's ok" he mumbled which got muffled as he was snuggling. Arjun smile and place a small kiss onto his hair.

Manik gaze was fixed on the floor. At the mess he created. He gulp in regretion. He fidget his fingers in guilt.
Something in his stomach got twisted as tears form in his eyes. It wasn't his intention to disrespect or waste food. It's just he lost the control on his emotions and pushed the plate hard.

He stood up and get down on the floor. He began gathering up the broken pieces of plate. Their attention shifted to manik, sakshi tried to stopped him but arjun held her arm shaking his head.

"Galti ki hn.. toh usko sahi bhi kare" he said firmly. Sakshi sighed but nod nonetheless.

Arjun looked at manik, "Sakshi, bring him broom and mop" arjun stated making them looked at him dumbfounded, "Huh!!" Sakshi said.

"You heard me" arjun said in a tone which was hard to defy. She give a reluctant nod and left. Rohit looked at arjun and tried to speak but arjun silenced him by keeping a finger onto his lips, "Shh... uska lawyer bane ki zarorat Nahi hn, Mr. Lawyer ko" rohit huffed making him smile.

Sakshi returned and hand manik the cleaning equipment. Arjun spoke, "Make sure to clean it properly, I want the floor spotless, understood" manik nod, "Ji, baba" manik said in a small voice making arjun heart twist in guilt.

Sakshi looked at manik and tried to help him but arjun stopped her with a glare. She glare back but looked away when he raise an eyebrow, "Whatever, kharus aadmi (cruel man)" she mumbled with a pout making arjun smirk, "Scaredy cat" he mumbled, she looked at him, "kuch bola tumne?" She asked. Arjun replied, "Kuch suna tumne?" She shook her head, Arjun shrugged, "Toh bas kuch bhi nahi bola maine" she puffed her cheek, "Dhek lungi tumhe toh mein".

Rohit giggled at the drama being fold infront him, arjun raises an eyebrow, "Tujhe toh bada maza araha hn?" Rohit shook his head and continued to play with Arjun's shirt buttons. Arjun ruffled his hairs.

Manik scrapped up the spilled food, he sighed in frustration and was about to get up but arjun stopped him, "Sahi se saaf (clean) nahi hua, do it again and this time properly" arjun spoke firmly making him flinch. He nod and do as arjun ordered.

Sakshi glared at him, "Arjun, enough... aur kitne harsh hoge?" She said, arjun looked at her, "I am not enjoying it either... galti ki hn toh punishment bhi milegi... if you can't see him like this, door is open, leave... but do not interfere in between. I don't want him to have the idea that his behavior can be ignored or forgiven easily". sakshi interpreted, "He was frustrated" arjun sigh, "And? Was that excuse enough to describe his behavior? If he is angry, he should talk rather than behave like an uneducated person. Trust me, Sakshi, if he shouted or even cursed instead of throwing food, I wouldn't have that much of a problem. I would let him express his frustration, but this is not acceptable... at least to me" Arjun spoke firmly, "Bacha hn arjun" she tried again, "Bacha hn tabhi I am discipling him... galti bachon ki hih sudhari gati hn... badon ki nahi" arjun said.
