Chapter 35

At home, Manik was sulking glaring at the door, as if it was the door's fault his baba hasn't come.

Watching him, "Manik... Aisa baar baar darwaza ke aur dhekna se Arjun sir thodi na aajayenge". Rohit stated.

With a pout, "Kaha gaye bina bataye... Mein toh unhe breakfast ka baad se dheka hih nahi!".

Rohit sighed pulling him closer, "Kuch zaroori kaam agaya hoga kiddo!" he comforted him. Manik nodded leaning on to him, looking up as the car honked, "Baba agaye!". He stood up looking at the door eagerly.

As soon as Arjun enters the house, Manik run and jumps on him, giving him a big hug, "Babaaaa!".

Arjun had to take support of the wall to regain his balance as Manik rushed to him with force, steadying him, "Mannu aram se!".

Manik: "Baba app kahan tha? Apko pata bhi hai main apko kitna miss kiya!". Arjun raised his eyebrows at him.

Arjun: "Mannu agar tu bhul gaya ho toh yaad dila dun hum dono na sath mein hih breakfast kiya tha!".

Making a face, "Hai toh? Wo toh subha kiya tha na! Uska baad toh apna mujhe phone hih nahi kiya! Apne girlfriend ka sath busy tha, kiya?". Rohit chuckled at his last sentence.

Wacking him, "Chup kar besharam! Zyada nahi bolna lag gaya ajj kal!".

Smiling mischievously, "Ab zaban hai tho chala gi hih na! wo bhi kanchi (scissor) ki tarah!".

Arjun: "Usse kanchi se tere zaban kat dun". Arjrn stated to which Manik shook his head vigorously, horrified.

Manik: "Nahi nahi baba! App apna ek laute masoom bacha ke sath aisa zulm kaisa kar sakta ho! Apko sharam nahi ayegi!".

Both Arjun and Rohit scoffed.

Arjun: "Masoom?".

Rohit: "Aur tu?".

Rohit/Arjun: "Not a good combination". Both said simultaneously.

Manik: "Haww! App dono mera mazak uda raha hon?".

Rohit: "Kiddo tu toh khud ek mazak hai, phir udane ki kiya zarorat hai". Rohit replied, making Arjun chuckle.

Manik glared at them angrily, "Apko kuch zyada hi hassi nahi arahi, baba!".

Rohit smiled sweetly at him, "Abh itna bada mazak unke samne khada hoga toh hassi toh aaegi na!".

Manik angrily glares at him while Rohit gulps, Rohit knows what coming up next for him so he runs from there while Manik was chasing him, "Acha ruk teri toh!".

Rohit was running aage aage and Manik was running piche piche.

Manik: "Ek baar haath aagya na tho tu gaya rohit ke bache!".

Rohit:" Pehle pakad toh le mote!".

Manik: "Mota kiss ko bola ba!".

Rohit:" Tere alava mota kon hai yahan?".

Manik: "Teri toh!".

He looked here and there and picked up the flower vase.

Rohit: "Oyee... pagal toh nahi ho gaye tu! Flower vas marega mujhe mera sar fut jaega!".

Manik: "Fut jaye! Waisa bhi khachra ka alava kuch nahi bhar rakha tera dimag mein!".

Manik throws the vase at him but Rohit escape.

Rohit: "Kya bola ba!".

Manik: "Tera dimag mein kachra bhara para hai aur kya?".

Rohit also throws a flower vase at him but before Manik can react someone catches it.

Arjun: "Enough!".

Glaring at them angrily, "Pagal ho gaye ho kya donon! Bacche ho jo aise lad rahe ho! Bacche? Who I am kidding, bache bhi tum dono se jyada samajhdar hote hain!". Arjun rebuked.

"Baba/Sir". Both Rohit and Manik wined simultaneously.

Crossing his arms with a stern look, "What?", both shook their head, "Kuch nahi!", both said while averting their gaze.

Shaking head, "Good! Now go straight to your respective room, freshen up and come down for dinner and mind you, one more word from both of your mouths and see what I will do". He warned them.

Both looked at him with horrified looks and run from there.

Reaching upstairs, both look at each other and then burst out laughing.

Rohit: "Pura dramabaaz hai Tu".

Manik: "But tujhse zyada nahi!".

Both were busy teasing each other, when they heard Arjun's loud voice from downstairs, biting their tongue they run from there.

After dinner, they all were sitting in the living room, Manik on Arjun's lap, and Rohit on the other couch.

Manik: "Baba mein bore ho raha hun!". Manik grumbled.

Raising his eyebrows, "Toh mobile use karle!".

Manik: "Mobile use kar kar ka bhi mein bore hogaya hun!". He wailed.

Arjun:"Acha toh kya karna hai tujhe beta!".

Manik:"Meri bachpan ki stories sunao na!".

Rohit:"Hai sir isse bandar ki bachpan ki stories sunayo!".

Manik: "Kon bandar!".

Rohit: "Tu aur kon!".

Manik: "Acha mein bandar toh tu hippo!".

Rohit: "Aur tu...". Before they can continue their never-ending banter Arjun stops them.

Arjun starts telling them the beautiful memories of his life.

Both of them looked at Arjun, who was looking much calmer... there's a peace on his face, they also got indulge in his story.

Arjun softly narrates the incident, they slowly move closer to him. Arjun smile at them and pat their heads.

After the story ends, Arjun looked at his two kids and found them sleeping. He smile leaning onto the couch and closing his eyes. At midnight both got up with his scream... Were horrified watching him trashing.

Arjun tried to calm him, but it's look like his voice was not reaching to Manik... Who started hurting himself, "Chodo... Chodo... Mumma... Papa!".

Both were shocked seeing him in that state.

Arjun holds Manik's hand, stopping him from hurting himself further.

Rohit who quickly run to get Manik's medicine, came back... Gave the medicine which instantly calm him.

Manik relaxed mumbling slowly, "Mumma... Papa!". A tear rolled from Arjun's eyes and fell on Manik's face.

Composing himself, Arjun lifted Manik in his arms, looking at rohit, "Main isko kamre mein lekar ja raha hun!" Arjun said and left for his room.

As soon as Arjun left, Rohit collapsed on the couch with tears streaming down from his eyes.
