Kahit lahat ay mawala na
Handa akong masaktan
Kung kapalit nama'y malaya
Kang mahahagkan
-You lay in your bed, struggling to breathe. Your chest felt like it was weighed down by a thousand stones. The doctor had diagnosed you with severe pneumonia, and each day seemed to bring a new wave of exhaustion and pain.
Maloi watched you as you slept, naka ukit sa mukha niya ang pag aalala. She would lean in close, listening for the faint sound of your breath. Minsan, ipapatong pa niya ang palad niya sa dibdib mo para pakiramdaman ang iyong pag hinga. More often than not, bigla nalang siyang iiyak habang ginagawa niya ito, she's scared of losing you, hindi niya kaya."
One night, you woke up to find Maloi sitting beside you, mamula-mula at pugto ang mga mata niya. "Hey, why are you crying? May nangyari ba?" You whispered, your voice barely a breath.
Maloi looked away, tears streaming down her face. "Natatakot ako, love... baka mawala ka sakin..." she whispered back, her voice breaking. You reached out and gently took her hand, understanding the fear that gripped your girlfriend's heart.
You smiled faintly, despite the pain. "You won't lose me," you tried to reassure her, but your words were cut short by a violent coughing fit. Blood came out to your lips, and Maloi's face crumpled in fear.
"Please, Y/n... don't talk. Save your strength," Maloi begged, wiping away the blood with a tissue, her hands trembling.
You took a shaky breath, your hand reaching out to grasp Maloi's. ""I'm scared, love..." she admitted softly.
Maloi's heart broke at the sight of you, so fragile, so vulnerable. She squeezed your hand tighter. "Dito lang ako ha... Hindi kita iiwan, ill be just here by your side, mahal ko..." she whispered, though her own voice wavered.
-
Days passed, and your condition only worsened. Your coughs became more violent, kada ubo ay may lumabas na kasamang dugo. It was late at night nang mag simula ito, naghahabol kana at nahihirapang huminga. Panic gripped you as your vision blurred, and you realized your time might be running out.
Is this it?
Please just let me see her...
With trembling hands, you reached for the bedside table. You found a piece of paper and a pen, and through the pain and breathlessness, you managed to scrawl your final message:
"Mahal, hindi na ako makahinga. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you."
On the other side, Maloi, kneeling infront of the chapel, she was silently praying. Tears ran down her cheeks as she whispered desperate please, asking for a miracle, for one more chance. "Please," Maloi whispered through her tears, her voice desperate, "Please, God... if you can hear me, don't take her away. Wag mo siyang ilayo sa akin, kaya ko gawin lahat... just, please... let her stay. Give her strength. Give her another chance."
She continued to pray, over and over, her voice raw with emotion. "Please, let her breathe, hayaan mo siyang mabuhay... Kailangan ko siya... I need her so much and i love her so much." And then, as if her prayers were heard, your breathing slowly began to steady. Exhausted, you drifted into a deep sleep, feeling a strange calm wash over you.
When you opened your eyes the next morning, you found Maloi beside you, hawak hawak niya ang papel, ang papel kung saan nakasulat na sana ang huling magiging mensahe mo para sakanya. Hindi niya mapigilan ang pag iyak, pero this time her tears were a mixture of relief and overwhelming joy. You smiled weakly, your voice a whisper. "I'm still here."
Maloi leaned down, pulling you into a tight embrace, her body shaking with sobs as she cries on your chest "i thought iniwan mo na ako..."
You held her close, feeling the warmth of your girlfriends body, the beating of her heart. "Thank you for not giving up on me," you whispered.
You stayed like that for a long time, wrapped in each other's arms, grateful for another day, for another breath, and for the love that had brought you back from the edge of darkness
And as the sun poured in through the window, you knew that no matter how uncertain the future was, you would face it with Maloi by her side. Together, you had conquered fear with love. Together, both of you would face whatever came next.
Tunay na propesiya
Ikaw ang dakilang rason ba't ako ginawa
Aking oksihina"'Pag hindi na makahinga..."
