Continuation
Y/n and Mikha sat on the truck bed of Mikha's sleek black car, parked under the shade of a large oak tree in the park. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows on the ground, and the distant chatter of people faded into the background. Mikha, dressed in designer jeans and a tailored blouse, kicked off her shoes and let her bare feet dangle over the edge of the truck bed. Y/n sat beside her, hands resting in her lap, her pale skin catching the street lights in an almost ethereal way.
Mikha took a deep breath and laughed, "So, here I am, managing all these companies and dodging boring board meetings. And you're... at ikaw ay ano? mysterious woman with more secrets than words?"
Y/n smirked. "I prefer to keep things... understated. Dagdag charm na rin yon."
Mikha chuckled, her laugh light and easy. "Understated is an understatement when it comes to you." Second later, her smile changed into a serious one. " So, you really followed Nicolette here? Heck, man. Hindi ko alam na ganyan mo pala kamahal ang kapatid ko ah."
Y/n smiled faintly.
They continued to share stories about their lives in the human world, Mikha, with her wealthy yet lonely upbringing, and Y/n, with her quiet existence in the apartment she shared with the ever-mischievous Maraiah. Mikha's stories were animated, filled with grand gestures and big emotions, while Y/n were more reserved, spoken with a calm intensity that hinted at untold depths.
After a while, Y/n grew quiet, her gaze drifting to the horizon where the sun was slowly dipping. She turned to Mikha, her expression thoughtful. "What about Colet?" she asked, her voice soft. "How is she doing... being born into a different family and all?"
Mikha's expression softened, and for a moment, a flicker of sadness passed over her face. She took a deep breath and leaned back, looking up at the sky. "Nicolette... She's doing okay, I guess. Better than I feared, but not as well as I hoped." She paused, thinking carefully about her words. "Hindi maayos yung kinalakihan niyang pamilya well, they don't appreciate her like they should. Araw araw siyang nagtatrabaho and you know that, delivering newspapers and milk just to make ends meet. They don't see how special she is."
Y/n listened closely, her brows furrowed slightly. "Does she really don't... remember anything? Anything at all?"
Alana nodded her head slowly. "Burado lahat ng memories niya, lahat lahat, kahit alaala niya sayo, wala na."
Y/n nodded, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "I thought so," she murmured, looking down. "Wala na talaga..."
Mikha turned to face Y/n, her voice softening with empathy. "Na-mimiss mo siya 'no?"
Y/n looked up, her eyes meeting Mikha's. "Every day," she admitted. "Ewan ko ba, kahit malapit na kami sa isa't isa, pakiramdam ko ang layo layo niya parin. Iniisip ko... baka may paraan pa para makaalala siya."
Mikha reached over, placing a comforting hand on Y/n's shoulder. "Maybe there is," she said quietly. "But you have to be careful. Kiera is... special. More than any of us. May rason kung bakit binura ang alaala niya, dahilan rin yun kung bakit nandito siya sa mundong ito."
Mikha nodded. "I know. But I can't help it. I feel... drawn to her, like a part of me is missing without her."
Mikha gave her a small, understanding smile. "You and Nicolette always had a bond. A connection. Even in the human world, it's still there, just... hidden beneath the surface."
