Christmas Time

Harry, Hermione, Ron, and I are walking along a path with Hagrid as we finally talk and tell him about what we think happened to Harry's broom. "Nonsense! Why would Snape put a curse on Harry's broom?" Hagrid asks, shocked they think that. I say they cause, although Snape seems to hate Harry, I doubt he would want to endanger him.

"Who knows? Why was he trying to get past that three-headed dog on Halloween?" Harry asks, looking up at Hagrid. "Who told you about Fluffy?" Hagrid asks suspiciously. "Fluffy?" Ron exclaims, "that thing has a name?" Hermione asks, shocked. "Well, of course he's got a name. He's mine. I bought him off an Irish feller I met down at the pub last year. Then I lent him to Dumbledore to guard the..." He says, trialing off.

"Yes?" Harry tries to beckon him on, "Shouldn't have said that. No more questions! Don't ask any more questions. That's top secret, that is." Hagrid tells us. "But, Hagrid, whatever Fluffy's guarding, Snape's trying to steal it." Harry tries to encourage him on. "Codswallop. Professor Snape is a Hogwarts teacher." Hagrid justifies.

"Hogwarts teacher or not, I know a spell when I see one. I've read all about them. You've got to keep eye contact, and Snape wasn't blinking." Hermione explains directly talking to Hagrid. "Exactly," Harry says, siding with her as he nods. Hagrid sighs, "Now, you listen to me, all three of yeh. Yer meddling in things that ought not to be meddled in. It's dangerous. What that dog is guarding is strictly between Professor Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel."

Harry curiously turns to Ron and I before turning to Hagrid again, "Nicholas Flamel?" He asks. Hagrid mumbles to himself, "I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that." He repeats before leaving and still muttering the sentence to himself. I tilt my head confused, 'who is Nicholas Flamel?' I write. "I don't know," Hermione says, shaking her head.

We spent the next couple weeks looking all over the library for that name but game up with nothing. Not even my friends could remember where they heard the name from. It is now Christmas Eve, and snow is falling. All my friends have decided to go home for the holiday, so im sat with Harry and Ron while they are playing wizard chess. I'm zoned out thinking of what to bake for everyone when all of a sudden, Hermione appears and watches them play for a little.

"That's totally barbaric!" Hermione says, shocked, "That's wizard's chess." Ron says, looking over at her. "I see you've packed," he says, noticing her trunk. "I see you, havent." Hermione replies, "Change of plans, my parents decided to go to Romania to visit my brother, Charlie. He's studying dragons there." Ron answers.

"Good. You can help the twins, then. They are going to go and look in the library for information on Nicholas Flamel." She orders. "We've looked a hundred times!" Ron exclaims, Hermione leans closer to us. "Not in the restricted section. Happy Christmas." She says before leaving. "I think we've had a bad influence on her." Ron tells Harry, making me giggle. I carry my snakes who have been lounging on the table this whole time, and I walk off to the kitchen.

It is now Christmas morning, I slept in the boys' dorm with Ron and Harry last night and actually managed to sleep a decent amount. "Harry, Hally, wake up! Come on, guys, wake up!" I overhear Ron shouting from downstairs. I nudge Harry awake. He puts his glasses on, and we run down the stairs. Ron looks up at us on the staircase, "Happy Christmas, Harry. Happy Christmas, Hally." Ron says, I smile wide 'Happy Christmas, Ron!' I write as Harry tells him Happy Christmas.

Harry then notices his sweater, "what are you wearing?" He asks. Ron tugs on it, looking down, "Oh. My mum made it." He says before looking back up at us. "It looks like you guys got one, too." He says, making my jaw drop. "W- We, we got presents?" Harry asks, shocked as I tear up. "Yeah!" Ron exclaims, nodding. Harry and I look at each other before running down.

"There they are!" Ron says I see we both got sweaters, Harry's is red, and mine is blue. Harry also has a drawing from me of just me and him. I have two small boxes. And the two of us have a shared one. Harry grabs it and the note with it before sitting in the chair as I sit on the floor.

"Your father left this in my possession before he died. It is time it was returned to you. Use it well." Harry reads before opening the present. Inside is a blanket-like object, "what is it?" Ron asks. Harry and I look at it, "It's some kind of cloak." Harry answers, confused as I tilt my head confused. "Well, put it on," Ron encourages.

Harry then wraps the cloak around his shoulders, making his body invisible. My jaw drops. "Whoa!" Ron yells, Harry looks down at his body. "My body's gone!" He shouts, "I know what that is. That's an invisibility cloak!" Ron exclaims. "I'm invisible?" Harry asks before he spins around and looks down at himself. "They're really rare." Ron says, looking down at the note, "I wonder who gave it to you." Harry looks down at it too, "There was no name. It just said, "Use it well."

They go off doing their own thing while I open my other two presents. Inside the light blue one is a pale yellow bracelet with a small gold charm on it. I pull the note out, "Dear Hally, this bracelet is magically linked to the ones Fred and I have. If you're in danger, tug, and it will turn red. Love, Georgie." I smile and put it on before opening the dark blue box.

Inside is a small book and another note. "This book includes smaller things the bracelet can do. My favorite? If you push the charm, it lets us know you need some company." It reads. I smile and immediately put the bracelet on as I hope they like their small cakes. I made them. All my friends were made a cupcake with a small design that I felt they would like, Professor McGonagall helped me send them to each friend, and I made her one too.
