Through the Trapdoor

Hermione, Harry, Ron, and I sit in the common room. "You mean You-Know-Who's out there right now in the Forest?" Hermione asks, not believing what Harry is telling them. "But he's weak. He's living off the unicorns. Don't you see? We had it wrong. Snape doesn't want the stone for himself. He wants the Stone for Voldemort. With the Elixir of Life, Voldemort will be strong again. He'll... he'll come back." Harry explains, making me nod along as he sits down.

"But if he comes back, you don't think he'll try to kill you, do you?" Ron says, scared. "I think if he'd had the chance, he might have tried to kill us tonight." Harry says. "And to think, I've been worrying about my Potions final." Ron says, gulping. "Hang on a minute," Hermione starts, drawing all of our attention.

"We're forgetting one thing. Who's the one wizard Voldemort always feared? Dumbledore. As long as Dumbledore is around, Harry, Hally, you're safe. As long as Dumbledore is around, you can't be touched." Hermione continues. She gives us a reassuring smile. Harry nods, and I shrug, going off to see if the twins happen to be awake.

As expected, they are waiting at their door. "Your bracelet turned ours red but then was back to green almost immediately," Fred asks as George brings me into a tight hug. 'Snuck out, got caught and had detetion' I explain as I hug George back. Fred chuckles and ruffles my hair, "Glad your safe little one," he says. George nods along, and let's go, "we can't get another you, not even Harry will do," George jokes as Fred gives me a tight hug, too. I giggle as the boys smile at me. I send them back a wide smile, 'walk me to my dorm?' I write.

They instantly nod. George creeps back into their dorm and appears moments later holding the map. I smile and stand between them as we sneak back to my dorm. Once their I quickly answer the riddle before waving goodbye and heading to my dorm. To see if I can manage to make myself fall asleep.

For the little bit left of May, I hardly slept. Most breakfasts consisted of me leaning on Harry and napping for twenty minutes and hardly eating. That soon turned into me napping in the Gryffindor common room Monday, Wednesday, and Friday before lunch. Eventually, Zuri asked me if I thought I'd sleep better laying next to her. So we tried, and I was back to sleeping three to four hours nightly. Akemi soon realized we were having our sleepovers and demanded we include her. So I would go back and forth between their beds.

The first week of June was the start of our exams. Hermione, my friends, and I had previously prepared together. The "golden trio" and I are walking outside together, "I'd always heard Hogwarts' end-of-the-year exams were frightful, but I've found that rather enjoyable." Hermione says when randomly my scar starts hurting. "Speak for yourself. All right there, Harry?" Ron asks, making us look at Harry, who is rubbing his forehead right where the scar is. "My scar. It keeps burning." Harry answers. They look at me and see some tears in my eyes from the pain.

"It's happened before." Hermione says factually, I shake my head as Harry answers. "Not like this." He tells them. "Perhaps you should see the nurse." Ron tries to encourage, "I think it's a warning. It means danger's coming." Harry says as I piece what he's saying together. I grab his hand, and we start walking faster, "what is it?" Hermione asks as the two of them speed up too.

"Don't you think it's a bit odd that what Hagrid wants more than anything is a dragon, and a stranger turns up who just happens to have one? I mean, how many people wander around with dragon eggs in their pocket? Why didn't I see it before?" Harry asks, making me nod repeatedly as we arrive at Hagrid's hut. We approach his hut and hear him playing the flute, "Hagrid," Harry calls as we reach the giant. Hagrid stops playing.

"Who gave you the dragon egg? What did he look like?" Harry asks, "I dunno. I never saw his face. He kept his hood up." Hagrid says, holding his flute. "This stranger, though, you and he must have talked." Harry says as I nod along. "Well, he wanted to know what sort of creatures I looked after. I told 'im. I said, "After Fluffy, a dragon's gonna be no problem." Hagrid says.
