Daniel came and left.
That was a couple hours ago; so instead of sitting around and waiting for him to get home like a weirdo, I decided to do some homework.
I had to read a few chapters in my Beyond Behaviors textbook and write a reflection paper on how I'd respond to a given scenario. It isn't too hard, being that I already have a basic idea of how to react to certain behavioral challenges. Like taking a moment to reflect and make a child's feelings feel valid and seen.
I think that's what any of us want from life, really.
I zoomed through my paper fairly easily, which was a plus. It was an assignment I was behind on since I was sick, so I e-mailed it to my teacher and shut my laptop. I picked up my books with it and walked it back over to my room.
Walking back over to the kitchen, I sighed. Since he wasn't back yet, I decided to clean up around. I put in my AirPods, started playing Juno and turned it up. I love cleaning to good music, and Sabrina's new album slaps. Absolutely no skips.
And I may be a little guilty of thinking about Daniel during certain songs. But no one else needs to know that.
I walked down to the basement and grabbed the broom, came back up and started sweeping the kitchen and living room, head and hips moving to the beat.
You make me wanna make you fall in love
Oh, late at night, I'm thinking about you
Wanna try out some freaky positions?I pick up the dust pile with the dustpan and toss it in the trash. I place the broom back and grab the duster hanging beside the washer. I take it to the living room, making sure to dust all the electronics and picture frames carefully.
I know you want my touch for life
If you love me right, then who knows?
I might let you make me JunoI start singing aloud, moving my hips. I smiled slightly at the pictures I was dusting off of Daniel and MG. Daniel was smiling and MG was hugging him so tightly. Made my heart warm at the sight.
One of me is cute, but two though?
Give it to me, baby
You make me wanna make you fall in loveShimmying to the side, I noticed a door I hadn't seen before. I tilt my head as I looked at it. Have I really been here over a month and not notice it? I wonder where it leads. I go to reach for the handle, but stop. If Daniel wanted me to know what it was, he would've told me.
Sighing, I move on to grabbing the trash that was full. I walk out to the back patio, throwing it into the bin on the side of the house. When I see the pool, my eyes widen as I smile. Daniel's not here.
I run inside, throwing clothes out of my drawer and onto the floor until I found my black bikini. I swapped into it, pulled my hair up and walked back outside. It was a beautiful afternoon and I could just get a tan.
