Jean's smile fades as she looks over to Y/N, who was bandaged up and Charles turns his head. Rogue plays with Y/N's hair as he stirs a bit. Jean checks up on Y/N and she lifts up his bandages, she sees that his wounds has healed. Y/N opens his eyes and sees Rogue.
Rogue: Hey.
She gives Y/N a soft smile and he returns the smile.
Rogue: How are you feeling?
Y/N: Like I've been ran over by a truck.
He chuckles weakly.
Y/N: But I'll live. Are you ok?
Rogue nods.
Rogue: I'm fine. I was worried about you.
Y/N: Me? I'm flattered.
He gives Rogue a warm smile as she gently rubs his knuckles.
Charles: There's an abandoned military compound at Alkali Lake in the Canadian Rockies, close to where we found you. There's not much left, but you might find some answers.
Logan looks at the table.
Logan: Thank you.
Charles: Are you going to say good-bye to them?
Logan looks at him with uncertainty. Y/N, Bobby, Rogue, and John play hockey table while Charles, Jean, Scott, and Storm watch the new report.
Reporter: The Mutant Registration Act lost its main proponent today with the dramatic reversal of Senator Robert Kelly, who until this time had provided the loudest voice in the cry for mutant registration.
Senator Kelly: I was wrong on this particular issue. And I hope in time I may be forgiven. Thank you.

The TV pauses at the right time as Senator Kelly's eyes glow yellow.
Storm: Mystique.
Cyclops: Son of a bitch.
Storm unpauses the TV.
Reporter: ...from many parents' rights group who feel threatened by unidentified mutants in their school systems.
Logan adjusts his back as he stops to look at Rogue and Y/N laughing with each other. Logan opens the door and Rogue notices.
Rogue: I'll be back, okay?
Y/N nods and she leaves.
Y/N: You really suck at this, John.
John: Shut up.
Rogue smiles at their banter and she opens the door.
Rogue: Hey.
Logan turns to her.
Rogue: You running again?
Her words mirrored what Logan said to her at the train station.
Logan: No, not really. I have some things to take care of up north.
He sees a white stand of hair and she notices.
Rogue: I kind of like it.
Logan smiles at her.
Rogue: I don't want you to go.
Logan sniffs and he takes off his dog tags, he places it in Rogue's hand and he closes her hand.
Logan: I'll be back for this.
He promises her and leaves. Logan stops for a moment and sees Scott's motorcycle, he looks around with a smile. The gates open and Logan zooms past the gates.
A guard walks down a corridor. Charles and Magneto play a game of chest.
Magneto: Doesn't it ever wake you in the middle of the night? The feeling that someday they will pass that foolish law or one just like it and come for you...
Charles moves his pawn.
Magneto: and your children?
They look at each other.
Charles: It does, indeed.
Magneto moves his knight and takes Charles pawn.
Magneto: What do you do when you wake up to that?
Charles: I feel a great swell of pity for the poor soul who comes to that school looking for trouble.
He takes Magneto's knight and the door opens up as the guard gets behind Charles.
Magneto: Why do you come here, Charles?
Charles: Why do you ask questions to which you already know the answers?
Magneto smiles.
Magneto: Oh, yes. Your continuing search for hope.
His smile fades as he motions the guard to leave with Charles.
Magneto: You know this plastic prison of theirs won't hold me forever. The war still coming, Charles, and I intend to fight it... by any means necessary.
Charles leans in.
Charles: And I will always be there... old friend.
Magneto knockes over his king chess piece as Charles leaves.
