Y/N sits by Kitty as he listens to the Professor's lesson. Y/N does get bored of this but he doesn't mind.

Charles: When an individual acquires great power, the use or misuse of that power is everything.

Kitty slides Y/N a piece of gum on his lap as the Professor smiles at this.

Charles: Will it be for the greater good? Or will it be used for personal or destructive ends?

Y/N quietly unwraps his gum as he continues to listen to the lesson.

Charles: Now, this is a question we must all ask ourselves. Why? Because we are mutants.

Y/N leans back against the chair as he pops the gum in his mouth.

Charles: For psychics, this presents a particular problem.

One of the girls in the class writes down his words using her hand.

Charles: When is it acceptable to use our power, and when do we cross that invisible line that turns us into tyrants over our fellow man?

Y/N chews his gum quietly as Kitty speaks up.

Kitty: But Einstein said that ethics are an exclusive human concern without any superhuman authority behind it.

The Professor smirks at her comment.

Charles: Einstein wasn't a mutant... so far as we know.

This made everyone chuckle as Y/N shakes his head playfully.

Charles: Now, this case study was sent to me by a colleague, Dr. Moira MacTaggert. Jones?

Jones nods as he blinks his eyes to turn on the TV and Moira voice comes through.

Moira: The man you see here was born with no higher-brain functions. His organs and nervous system work, but he has no consciousness to speak of.

The video pauses as The Professor continues with his lesson.

Charles: Now, what if we were to transfer the consciousness of one person-- say, a father of four with terminal cancer-- into the body of this man?

He points to the TV and Y/N follows his movements.

Charles: How are you decide what falls within the range of ethical behavior and what--

He abruptly stops which makes Y/N concern as he leans forward.

Y/N: Professor? Are you okay?

He doesn't get a response as the Professor senses something and Y/N looks out the window to see the clouds darken.

Jones: Professor?

Y/N glances back to The Professor as he finally responds.

Charles: We'll continue this tomorrow. Class dismissed.

Y/N can't help but feel concern again as he gets up and pack up his things, the Professor can't help but smile at Y/N's concern.

Charles: I'm alright, Y/N.

This eases Y/N's concern a bit as he nods and leaves with Kitty, the Professor watches him leave.

On the balcony, Storm stares out to the sky lost in thought as the Professor approaches her.

Charles: The forecast was for sunny skies.

His voice cuts through Storm's thoughts and turns to him.

Storm: Oh. I'm sorry.

Her eyes turn white as the dark skies clear up. Charles smiles and notices something is bothering her.
