3:00 pm. 📍Karianah's house.

Karianah groaned as the sunlight streamed through the curtains, stirring her awake. She rolled over and glanced at the clock on her nightstand, her eyes widening in disbelief.

"3 o'clock ? What the fuck ..?"

She shot up, grabbing her phone to see a string of missed messages and calls from Jordan, Ariel, Mariah, and Summer. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Jordan's name at the top of the list. Ignoring the other notifications for now, she quickly opened his text.

Jordy 🤭
Hey, you okay? I was worried when I didn't get a good morning text from you.

Karianah couldn't help but smile. The fact that he noticed her absence made her feel warm inside. She quickly typed out a response:

Karianah
I'm fine! Just overslept. Stayed up late working on some new lyrics.

She hit send, her thoughts wandering back to the lyrics she'd scribbled down in a burst of inspiration last night. It had been cathartic, pouring her emotions into her music, especially after the tense meeting with Camille.

Her phone buzzed again, snapping her back to the present.

Jordy 🤭
Ah, that makes sense. Just wanted to make sure. Remember, I'm picking you up at 6. Can't wait to see you.

Karianah eyes widened in panic. "6 PM!?"
That gave her only three hours to get herself ready. She jumped out of bed, mentally going over what she needed to do: shower, pick out an outfit, do her hair and makeup—everything had to be perfect.

Karianah was in a whirlwind of activity, moving from her closet to the bathroom and back again as she tried to prepare for her date. Time seemed to speed up as she carefully selected her outfit—something casual yet flattering, perfect for a walk in the park. She settled on a light sundress with a denim jacket, something that made her feel both comfortable and confident. Her makeup was kept minimal, with just enough to highlight her features without being overdone.

As she stood in front of the mirror, applying the final touches to her hair, she glanced at the clock again. Her heart skipped a beat. It was 5:59.

"Shit!" she muttered, quickly grabbing her purse and rushing out the room.

Karianah rushes downstairs, her heart racing not just from the scramble to get ready, but from the excitement of seeing Jordan. As she steps outside, she sees him pulling up in his sleek Audi. She's barely closed the front door behind her when he jumps out of the car.
