📍joey's apartment.
Karianah was determined, her jaw set as Mariah's car weaved through traffic. The girls glanced at each other, concern in their eyes, but they stayed quiet, knowing that nothing they said would change her mind.
When they finally arrived, Mariah parked quickly, and all of them turned to Karianah. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Ayesha asked, her tone soft but cautious.
Karianah didn't respond. She just threw open the door and rushed out, storming toward Joey's house. The others quickly scrambled to follow her, their heels clacking on the pavement as they tried to keep up.
Karianah reached Joey's front door and began banging on it, not caring about the noise she was making. "Jo-Vaughn!" she shouted, her fist hammering the wood.
A moment later, the door swung open, revealing a girl with an attitude. She leaned against the doorframe, looking Karianah up and down before snapping, "You a cop or somethin'? Why you bangin' on my man's door like that?"
Karianah, already on edge, didn't hesitate. She rudely pushed past the girl, her patience long gone. "Bitch, please," she spat, barely giving her a glance as she marched inside. The ladies followed behind her, exchanging wary glances as they stepped into the messy apartment.
As they walked into the living area, there Joey was, leaning casually against the kitchen counter. His shirt was halfway unbuttoned, and a suspicious white powder coated the edges of his nose. He looked up when he saw them, his eyes lighting up in a way that made Karianah's stomach churn.
"What's up, sexy?" Joey slurred, his gaze raking over her. He smirked, completely unfazed by her anger. "Oh, I see you came back for more, huh?" He stepped forward, grabbing her waist.
Before he could react, Karianah slapped him hard across the face. The sound echoed through the room, leaving Joey momentarily stunned. "Boy what the fuck is wrong with you?" she spat, her voice low with rage. "Did you tip off the paparazzi about me being at your damn house?"
The girl from the door suddenly stormed back in, her face twisted in anger. "Really, Jo-Vaughn? Forget this!" she shouted, turning on her heel and storming out of the apartment.
Joey barely glanced at her as she left, instead rubbing his cheek where Karianah had hit him. "Lola, come back!" he called lazily after the girl, but his voice was flat, indifferent.
Turning back to Karianah, Joey's expression shifted, an annoyed smirk playing on his lips as he wiped the white substance from his nose. "Y'all are some fucking cockblockers, for real," he muttered, shaking his head.
Karianah's hands clenched into fists at her sides, her voice tight. "You told the paparazzi, didn't you?" she accused, her eyes narrowing. "You couldn't stand not being in the spotlight, so you ran your mouth."
Joey snorted, leaning back against the counter as if this whole situation bored him. "I don't even like the paparazzi," he said, waving a dismissive hand. "I hate them niggas. Why the fuck would I want people all up in my business?"
