Jordan stared at the notification on his phone, his stomach twisting with a mix of surprise and anger.

serayah has started following you.

His jaw clenched as he leaned back in his chair, feeling an uncomfortable tightness settle in his chest. He hadn't spoken to Serayah in years, and now, out of the blue, she was popping back into his life?

"The fuck?" he muttered to himself, swiping the notification away but feeling far from settled.

Ralen, who had handed him the phone, noticed the shift in Jordan's mood. "You good, bro?" he asked cautiously, sensing the tension.

Jordan nodded absently, but his mind was already elsewhere—back to the time when it all began.

May 25th, 2019.

It was during the early stages of his career with the Golden State Warriors. He was fresh to the league, still getting used to the pace and the fame that came with being an NBA player. One night, at a teammate's house party, Jordan stood in a corner, drink in hand, minding his own business. He wasn't a big party guy, but the team encouraged him to show up and loosen up a little.

Suddenly, a cold splash hit his chest, and he looked down to see the remnants of a drink soaking through his shirt. He jerked his head up, ready to snap at whoever was responsible, but when his eyes met Serayah's, the anger dissipated in an instant.

She stood in front of him, wide-eyed with a mix of apology and amusement. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" she said, her hands hovering in the air as if she could somehow clean up the mess.

Jordan's initial irritation melted away as he looked at her—she was stunning. Her dark curls framed her face perfectly, and her smile had a mischievous charm to it. He found himself speechless for a moment.

"It's fine," he finally said, offering a half-smile. "Guess I needed to cool off anyway."

That was the start. At first, they were just friends, but Jordan quickly realized his feelings for her ran deeper than that. She had this magnetic energy about her, the kind that drew people in without trying. She always played hard to get, though, keeping him at arm's length, flirting but never quite giving in. It drove him crazy, but he loved the chase.

They would hang out often—grabbing dinner after his games, going to events, and even just chilling at each other's places. But deep down, Jordan wanted more. He couldn't help the growing attraction he felt for her. She was everything he thought he wanted—confident, beautiful, and independent.

It took time, but eventually, they started dating. Serayah was always at his games, front and center, cheering him on with the same enthusiasm his die-hard fans had. She got along with his teammates, his coach, and even his family. His parents adored her, and his siblings—his older sister, brother, and baby sister—were all smitten with her charm. Even the wives of his teammates welcomed her with open arms, often inviting her to their gatherings.
