As practice wrapped up, Jordan barely registered the sound of sneakers squeaking on the polished court. His mind spun in circles, replaying everything that had gone down with Karianah. He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't notice Mariah and Ariel enter.

Mariah's laughter echoed loudly as she spotted Juan, throwing her arms around him. Meanwhile, Klay saw Ariel and launched himself across the gym, nearly tripping over a water bottle. "Ariel!" he grinned, pulling her into an exaggerated kiss. She rolled her eyes, laughing at his over-the-top entrance.

As the couples reunited, Steph and Gary exchanged glances. They knew what was coming.

With Mariah and Ariel leading the charge, the group marched over to Jordan, who was still wiping sweat from his face, oblivious to their approach.

"Jordan, what the fuck is wrong with you?" Mariah started, her voice sharp. "You really left all her stuff on her doorstep? Who raised you?"

Ariel wasn't far behind. "You overgrown scarecrow," she snapped, jabbing a finger in his direction. "Are you trying to sabotage your own relationship? 'Cause it sure looks like it."

Jordan blinked, caught completely off guard by the ambush. He opened his mouth, but before he could get a word out, the rest of the group joined in.

Steph crossed his arms, his tone serious. "Mariah's right. You can't just bail on her like that and expect things to blow over."

Juan added, You're giving Joey room to swoop in. Is that what you want?"

Klay, still holding Ariel's hand, shook his head. "You love her or not, bro? You're acting like you don't even care."

Gary, finally spoke up, his voice low and firm. "You can't act invincible, JP. Karianah's not gonna wait around forever. You need to make a move before it's too late."

Jordan felt like he was under fire. Their words stung, each one a reminder of just how badly he'd screwed up. He ran a hand over his face. "I know I messed up. But it's not as simple as just saying sorry. There's... a lot more to it."

Ariel leaned against the wall, her arms crossed. "I get it—you're pissed about Joey. But acting out isn't gonna fix anything. You need to tell Karianah how you feel, and stop blowing up every time you get jealous."

Jordan clenched his jaw, their words hitting home, but he felt trapped in the mess he'd created.

Jordan shook his head. "You think Karianah cares how I feel right now? She's out there with that lame ass nigga, doing whatever she wants."

Mariah sighed. "It's not about what she's doing. It's about how you're handling it. If you keep this up, you'll lose her for real."

Jordan stayed silent, knowing they were right but unsure how to fix it. Then Ariel leaned in, whispering an idea into his ear. His brows shot up, a small smirk tugging at his lips. "You think that'll work?" he asked, curious despite his doubt.
