Maleficent POV

An hour a never ending, mind numbing hour of Uliana's shrieking filled the room. She's been on a loop, ranting about Bridget and the whole incident, her voice grating like nails on a chalkboard. "I'm going to destroy her! She's going to regret ever being born! AAAAAA!" The words tumble out of her over and over, each repetition more exhausting than the last. I'm sprawled on the bed, eyes fixed on the ceiling as if I can escape through it. She's been saying the same thing for what feels like forever, and I'm at my breaking point. Desperately, I glance out the window, hoping for any sign of a distraction, and notice the sun dipping lower in the sky. Where the hell is Hades? I need to get out of here before I lose my mind.

Just as I'm about to snap, Uliana suddenly switches gears. "I know what to do!" she announces, her eyes lighting up with a kind of manic glee. "Tomorrow, all of us, at the Black Lagoon. We're going to plot the best revenge EVER!" She grins, clearly pleased with herself, and I lift my head just enough to give her a skeptical look. "Tomorrow?!" The word slips out before I can stop myself, my thoughts immediately crashing into the "date" me and Hades planned. She nods eagerly, completely missing the note of panic in my voice. "Yeah, I don't want to hear any excuses. We are ALL going," she declares, her tone brooking no argument.

I sigh, knowing better than to argue with her when she's in this mood. "Mh, okay, whatever," I mutter, trying to sound indifferent even though inside I'm already dreading what this will mean for my plans. Before she can go on, there's a knock at the door, and relief washes over me. Finally, Hades is here. Took him long enough. I jump up from the bed, not even trying to hide my excitement as I rush to the door. I swing it open, grinning at the sight of him. "Hey, beauty," he greets me, his smile making my heart do a little flip. I mouth "finally" at him, and he gives me a half apologetic, half amused look.

"Hi, Uliana. Are you doing better?" he asks, though his tone suggests he already knows the answer. She scoffs, glaring at him. "Zip it, fire boy," she snaps, her temper still flaring. Hades just shakes his head slightly, clearly not taking her mood to heart. "Wanna go out?" he asks, turning his full attention back to me, his voice warm and inviting. "Of course," I reply without hesitation. I can't get out of this room fast enough. He slips his arm around my shoulder, pulling me close as we step into the hallway.

"See you in a bit," I toss over my shoulder at Uliana, though I know she's barely listening. She just rolls her eyes, waving me off dismissively. "Ugh, whatever. I don't care," she mutters, her annoyance still simmering. As we step out of the room, it feels like I can finally breathe again. The air outside is fresh, a stark contrast to the stifling tension that filled the room. Hades and I exchange a look, a silent understanding passing between us I'm finally leaving the craziness behind, if only for a while. The sky outside is painted in soft shades of orange and pink as the sun sets, and it feels like the perfect backdrop for what I desperately need: peace, quiet, and time with Him.

Hades POV

"Sorry if it took me so long. I got lost in my own thoughts and..." I start, trying to explain, but Mali interrupts me with a gentle smile. "It's fine, really. Don't worry about it. At least it's over now," she says, squeezing my hand as if to reassure me. Despite her smile, I can sense there's something more on her mind. Her gaze drops, and I can tell she's holding back some disappointment.

"What's up?" I ask, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. I want to know what's bothering her. "Uliana wants to plot her stupid revenge tomorrow, and she's making all of us go," Mali admits with a sigh, her voice tinged with reluctance. It's clear she's not thrilled about the idea.I can't help but chuckle at that. "And why's that a problem? Who wouldn't want to join in on a good revenge plot?" I tease, hoping to lighten her mood. She looks up at me, confusion mixed with embarrassment in her expression, her cheeks flushing a soft pink. "But our dat..." She starts to say, then trails off, clearly flustered.

"Our date?" I finish for her, catching on and chuckling. "We can still have our date. Let's just go in the morning and skip the lessons. It's not like we're exactly model students anyway," I say, giving her a playful wink. Her face lights up at the idea, and she does a little hop of excitement. "That's perfect, then!" she exclaims, her voice full of relief and joy. The way her smile spreads across her face makes my heart feel like it's swelling with warmth. She's so incredibly cute when she's like this, and I find myself smiling right back at her, unable to resist.

As we continue walking, I pull her closer, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. The sun is just beginning to set, casting a warm, golden glow over everything around us. We make our way to a little field that overlooks the sea, the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The sky is painted in rich hues of orange, pink, and purple, each color blending seamlessly into the next. It's like the world has been dipped in gold. We find a spot to sit down, and I settle in with Mal tucked beside me. The view in front of us is breathtaking, but I can't help being more captivated by her. The way the fading sunlight catches in her hair, making it seem like it's glowing, and the way her eyes reflect the colors of the sky it's like she's part of the sunset itself.

I turn to her, my gaze softening as I reach out to brush a stray strand of hair behind her ear. She looks up at me, her eyes filled with a mix of warmth and something deeper, something that makes my heart race a little faster. "This is beautiful," she whispers, almost as if she's afraid to break the spell of the moment. "Yeah, it is," I agree, my voice low, but I'm not looking at the sunset. I'm looking at her, completely entranced.

She catches me staring, and a shy smile tugs at her lips. I can't resist leaning in, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. She closes her eyes, leaning into me, and I wrap my arms around her, pulling her close as we both turn back to the horizon, watching the sun slowly sink into the sea. The air around us is starting to cool as the evening sets in, but with her in my arms, all I feel is warmth. We sit there in a comfortable silence, just enjoying the moment. The sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore reaches us, blending with the soft rustling of the grass and the distant chirping of crickets. It's peaceful, like the world has slowed down just for us.

After a while, I whisper, "I could stay like this forever, just you and me." She nods against me, her hand finding mine again, our fingers intertwining. "Me too," she murmurs, her voice so soft it's almost lost in the sound of the waves. We sit there for what feels like hours, just the two of us, watching as the sky darkens and the first stars begin to appear. The last traces of sunlight fade away, leaving behind a deep blue sky dotted with twinkling stars. It's the kind of night that feels magical, like anything is possible as long as we're together.

Eventually, Maleficent shifts slightly in my arms, turning to look at me. "Thank you," she says quietly, her eyes searching mine. "For what?" I ask, genuinely curious. "For making me feel special. For always being here," she replies, her voice full of sincerity. I smile, feeling a warmth spread through my chest. "You are special, Mali. And I'll always be here, no matter what."

She smiles back at me, a soft, contented smile that makes everything feel right in the world. We turn back to the sky, and I tighten my hold on her, feeling like this moment could last forever. The night stretches out before us, filled with the promise of more sunsets, more stolen moments, and the simple joy of just being together.
