Aisha barged into the cabin, still fuming from the chaotic HC Groups meeting that held yesterday. "Divyansh, I can't believe you let them run circles around us!" she exclaimed, rifling through the presentation file. "I've already made the entire presentation, so all you need to do is check theirs thoroughly in today's meeting—no shortcuts," she added sharply, her eyes still on the file. "And for the love of God, don't flirt with his assistant again. We're here to close a deal, not set you up on a date!"
She snapped the file shut and slammed on desk, only to freeze when she finally looked up. Instead of Divyansh standing there with his usual mischievous grin, she found herself face-to-face with Arjun Oberoi. The stern elder brother was directly in front of her, his arms crossed and his gaze sharp, though there was a flicker of amusement in his eyes.
Seated nearby were Divyansh, Veer, and Vikram, all watching her with varying degrees of amusement. Divyansh was trying not to laugh, while Veer's smile was openly entertained. Vikram, however, just stared at her with his usual cold, unreadable expression, though the slight twitch at the corner of his mouth hinted that he might be enjoying this more than he let on.
Aisha's heart sank. "Oh," she managed, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I... I didn't realize..."
Arjun raised an eyebrow, his stern demeanour softening just a bit. "You didn't realize what, Miss Aisha? That you were about to scold the wrong person?"
Veer chuckled softly, "Looks like you were on a roll there, Aisha."
Aisha quickly handed the file over to Arjun, trying to salvage some dignity. "I'm sorry, Mr. Oberoi. I didn't mean to barge in like that. I thought Divyansh was alone."
Arjun took the file from her, his expression unreadable as he nodded. "I see. Well, since you're here, why don't you stay and walk us through the presentation? We could use your insights."
Aisha nodded, trying to keep her composure. "Of course, Mr. Oberoi. I'll just... give you a moment to review."
As Arjun opened the file and began to read, Aisha stepped back, pulling out her phone to distract herself from the awkwardness of the situation.
She absentmindedly scrolled through her notifications until something caught her eye—a video that had gone viral overnight. Curiosity got the best of her, and she tapped on it. To her surprise, a group of young men, dressed as women with over-the-top makeup, paraded around holding a sign that read, 'MUMBAI NA DELHI WALO KI PINKY HAI, PAISO WALO KI,' and doing the dance on the same song.
She blinked in surprise and turned to Divyansh, holding up her phone. "Divyansh, aren't these the same guys from that night?"
Divyansh leaned in, squinting at the screen before nodding with a smirk. "Yeah, that's them. Looks like they finally got what was coming to them."
Aisha started laughing, unable to contain herself. "Oh my God, I shouldn't laugh, but who dressed them up like this and made them march around dancing like this? It's ridiculous!"
