My heart sank. The cheerful brother we all knew looked shattered, like a shell of himself.
Vikram stepped closer, his voice soft. "Div...?"
Divyansh's gaze met his, and his eyes filled with tears. When he spotted me, his lips trembled, and before I knew it, he was in my arms, sobbing like a child.
I held him tight, stroking his head. "Hey, little buddy, what happened? Tell your big brother." His cries grew louder, and I felt a painful knot tightening in my chest. Vikram couldn't even look at him, his own eyes heavy with unshed tears.
I cupped Div's face, wiping away the tears. "Tell me what happened, Divyansh."
His voice was broken. "Big bro... I hate this world. It's so bad... so bad." He sobbed, and I glanced at Vikram, who stepped closer, bending down beside him. "Div, where is everyone? Where's Aisha?"
At the mention of her name, Divyansh froze. His face twisted in rage as veins bulged on his forehead.
