"Aisha, listen," Rivaan began, his heart pounding as rain tapped against the car windows. His voice trembled, but he couldn't hold back any longer. "I know this might be a little early, but... I love you."

Aisha's eyes widened in shock, her lips parting slightly. But before she could respond, Rivaan continued, pushing forward with desperation. "You don't have to say anything right now. I get it if it's too soon. Just... give me a chance. Go on a date with me, please. I swear, you won't regret it."

The words spilled out in a rush, his heart racing, waiting for any kind of response. Instead, Aisha sat frozen, her mind blank. Without uttering a single word, she opened the car door and ran out into the rain.

"Aisha!" Rivaan shouted, immediately following her, his footsteps splashing in the puddles as the rain drenched them both. He caught up with her, grabbing her hand and falling to his knees in the middle of the street.

His voice was trembling, barely holding back tears. "J-just one... one chance, Aisha. At least go on one date with me. I know it's early but..."

"No," she interrupted, her voice cutting through the downpour like a knife. "No, Mr. Malhotra."

Rivaan's breath hitched, but Aisha didn't stop. "It's never going to be a yes, whether it's early or not. It's no. You and I can never be 'we.' Get that straight."

Her words hit him harder than the cold rain pouring down on them. His heart constricted painfully, but he still begged, his voice barely holding together. "Aisha, please. Just one chance... I really love you."

Aisha shook her head, taking a step back, her face firm despite the turmoil in her eyes. Rivaan's tears mixed with the rain as he stared at her, his voice cracking. "Forget about me, Mr. Malhotra," she said, cold and detached. "From now, we will be just professional. It will never be personal. NEVER."

Rivaan felt himself breaking, his breath shaky and uneven. His hands trembled as he pleaded one last time. "Okay... but please," his voice cracked with raw emotion, "don't stay away from me, Aisha. I need you in my life. I can't live without you."

Aisha froze in her tracks, her heart pounded in her chest as a memory came crashing back, vivid and painful. The same words, spoken by someone else in her past, filled her ears.

"Aisha, mei kuch nhi karunga na kahunga... par kam se kam let me have and feel your presence in my life. I can't live without you. Please, love, I beg you... I really love you."

The memory gripped her like a vice, flooding her senses with emotions she had long buried. Her legs felt weak, her mind spinning as she recalled that fateful moment when she had heard the same plea, the same desperation. She had run then, just as she was about to run now.

But the pain from the past, the heartbreak she had caused, surged back with full force. The weight of it all nearly crushed her, but she couldn't stop. She had to escape, from Rivaan, from this feeling, from everything.
