Finally here!!
Hey guys! This is the longest chapter yet, covering Aisha's birthday 🎉. Take your time to read and don't forget to share your thoughts—I'd love to hear them!Secondly, about the next update: I'll try to post it after hitting the target, but no promises. My pre-exams just finished, and with the mains coming up, I'll be super busy. Still, I'll do my best to keep the updates coming.
Hope you all understand.
Now, enjoy reading! Bye-bye! 😊Aisha fidgeted in her seat, letting out an exasperated whine. "How much longer?"
Gaurav shot her a quick glare, gripping the steering wheel a little tighter. "You literally asked me two minutes ago. Can't you try being patient for once?"
Her lips pressed into a pout. "Patient? Do you even hear yourself? You've blindfolded me, for crying out loud! I have no idea where you're taking me. For all I know, you're planning to dump me in a mental hospital on my birthday!"
He snorted, muttering under his breath, "If only that were an option."
Her head whipped toward him, her voice rising. "WHAT did you just say?"
"Nothing!" Gaurav said quickly, parking the car with a small smirk. He enjoyed riling her up more than he cared to admit. "We're here."
Aisha folded her arms, tilting her head suspiciously. "You better not be joking. And seriously, why would you blindfold me just to bring me back home? The smell of plumeria flowers gave it away!"
That caught him off guard. "Wait-how did you-?"
"Gauri, come on. I'm not stupid," she said, her tone smug despite the blindfold still covering her eyes.
He could only shake his head, muttering something about her "too-sharp senses" as he got out and moved to her side. "Alright, genius. Come on." He took her hand, guiding her carefully as they walked.
Her fingers clutched his arm. "Are we inside yet? My legs are killing me."
"Almost there. Just a few more steps," he replied, suppressing a grin.
But as soon as they stepped through the door, Gaurav slipped away, leaving Aisha fumbling to find him.
"Gauri?" she called, reaching out into the empty air. "Ugh! I'm done with this nonsense!" Her frustration bubbled over as she tore off the blindfold.
The blindfold slipped from Aisha's eyes, and the world she faced stole her breath like a tidal wave crashing against her chest. Her vision blurred instantly-not from the brightness, but from the intensity of what stood before her. She blinked rapidly, her gaze darting from one corner of the room to the next.
The room was a riot of colors and nostalgia. The walls were adorned with oversized cartoon cutouts grinned back at her. Balloons in every shade of the rainbow floated around, some tied to chairs, others drifting lazily near the ceiling. The tables were covered in vibrant tablecloths, each featuring a different cartoon character. Everyone was dressed in cartoon-themed costumes.
