In the heart of a crumbling, abandoned warehouse, the air was thick with tension. Shadows danced along the walls, flickering in the dim light as Gojo, you and Kota navigated through the eerie silence, hunting your target.
Suddenly, a curse struck. It was one of the cursed objects that was being sold.
Kota was quick, but not quick enough. A shadowy tendril lashed out, sending him crashing into a stack of rusted metal beams with a sickening thud. He groaned, struggling to push himself up, his vision blurred from the impact.
Before the curse could land another blow, you darted forward with lightning speed, placing yourself between Kota and the advancing enemy.
Your eyes blazed with determination as you caught the curse's arm mid-strike and twisted it with a ferocity that made it howl in pain. Without hesitation, you followed through with a powerful kick, your boot connecting squarely with the curse's face, sending it reeling back.
Kota, still reeling, managed to lift his gaze to you as he got up, his expression a mix of gratitude and awe. You didn't spare him a glance, your focus entirely on the curse as it staggered to regain its footing.
From a distance, there were multiple curse bodies surrounded Gojo, who beat them all in an instant. He dropped another body to the ground and he watched the scene unfold between you and Kota.
His normal confident demeanor shadowed by an unfamiliar tightness in his chest. The sight of you and Kota working together, your movements in sync as if you had trained together for years, sent a gnawing sensation through his stomach.
He felt an unsettling pang of jealousy, mixed with something else—regret, perhaps, or the fear of losing something.
As you and Kota stood side by side, ready to strike again, Gojo's fists tightened.
. . .
You stood at the train station with Gojo and Kota. People looked at you and Kota weirdly since you had blood and scratches on you. Whereas, Gojo wasn't even touched.
"Y/N," Kota called out to you.
"Yeah?" You looked at Kota, waiting for him to answer. He glanced at Gojo but turned his attention back to you.
"Thank you for saving me back there."
You smiled lightly to him, "couldn't let you die. Especially like that."
"But, I was wondering. If I can thank you by taking you... out?" Kota finished his setenece hesitantly, you were surprised, Gojo looked at you both with an expression of shock and anger.
"Oh!" You got nervous and scratched the back of your head.
"You know what, yeah. I'd like that" you agreed easily.
"I haven't been out and explored Tokyo since I got here."
"It's a date then" the train arrived and opened, Kota walked in.
