A/N: since it's the weekend, why not post some chapters..!
You were in the shared common area in the Jujutsu High building. You and Kota were sitting at a table, trying to have a conversation, while Gojo and Keiko are sitting across the room, talking and laughing quietly.
You kept glancing at them, your focus drifting from your conversation with Kota.
Kota smiling, trying to engage.
"So, I was thinking after the mission next week, we could grab something to eat. There's this new place that opened up. I think you'd really like it."
"Yeah, sure. Sounds good" you said distracted.
Kota paused, noticing your eyes constantly flickering toward Gojo and Keiko. "You okay, Y/N?"
You snapped your attention back to Kota. "Hmm? Yeah, sorry. I'm fine."
Kota gave you a soft, concerned look. "You don't seem fine. You've been distant... distracted, like now. What's going on?"
"It's nothing, really. Just tired from work and everything" you replied and forced a smile.
Kota studied your face, glancing briefly at Gojo and Keiko across the room.
"Is that all? It feels like something else is bothering you."
You shook your head softly.
"No, really, it's nothing. I'm just tired."
"If you say so." Kota doubted your response but didn't want to continue pushing. And you noticed that, you sighed and grabbed his hand that was on the table.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to seem off. Let's talk about the restaurant again. You said it's new?" You gave him a reassuring smile.
Kota hesitated but brushed it off, "yeah... it's new. I just thought we could check it out together but—"
"No buts. Let's check it out together!" You smiled brightly, and during that Gojo glanced at you smling at Kota.
Kota smiled softly, "okay..."
You gave him another smile, but the atmosphere between you two felt slightly strained, as both of you silently acknowledge the unspoken tension in the room.

A few days passed.
You came to the store to buy more paper for the printer.
I don't understand why people don't restock!?
You stepped out of the store and you were welcomed by pouring rain.
You groaned, "I should've checked the weather" you mumbled to yourself.
I can try waiting it out. But I need to finish work.
