DECEMBER 24 OF 2018

As a month had passed since Gojo's return from being sealed, the weight of the moment finally arrived.

The entire crowd had gathered to send him off before his inevitable fight with Sukuna. A sense of solemnity hung in the air, though the people around you tried to stay optimistic.

They cheered, their faith in Gojo unwavering, but your heart felt heavy.

You stood quietly at the edge of the gathering, your hands instinctively resting on your growing belly, hidden beneath your loose clothes. A life was growing inside you, a secret you had carried alone since the last time you and Gojo had been together.

You could feel every movement, every flutter, but the person who should have been by your side didn't even know.

As Gojo made his way through the crowd, your breath caught in your throat. He was focused, determined, his usual carefree demeanor was still displayed.

When his eyes finally landed on you, his expression softened. He didn't notice your belly—his mind was consumed by the looming battle, but you could see the guilt in his eyes.

He approached you, and without hesitation, his first words were filled with remorse. "I'm sorry, Y/N," he said, his voice quieter than usual, barely heard above the murmur of the crowd.

"I wish... I wish I didn't have to leave like this."

Your lips trembled, and your heart squeezed painfully in your chest.

You had known this day would come, that he would have to face Sukuna, but knowing it didn't make it any easier.

"Do you really have to go?" You whispered, your voice cracking. Your eyes shimmered with unshed tears, and you tried to blink them away, knowing the answer before the words even left your mouth.

Gojo didn't answer. He didn't need to. You both knew he couldn't stay. His duty, his power—everything he was, led him to this moment.

He was Satoru Gojo, the strongest, the one destined to protect everyone else, no matter the cost.

But this time, the cost felt too personal. Too real.

His eyes softened as he reached out, his hand gently cupping your cheek. He looked like he wanted to say more, to find the perfect words that could ease the weight on your heart, but there were none.

Instead, he pulled you into a kiss—slow, lingering, as if trying to make this moment last forever.

You felt the warmth of his lips, the familiarity of his touch, but it wasn't enough. You clung to him, desperate to hold on for as long as possible, knowing this might be the last time you felt him like this.

Your mind raced, and the words you had been keeping inside for so long finally rose to the surface.

Tell him.
