The days following your explosive argument with Gojo were unusually quiet.

Ever since then you and Gojo barely spoke, only interacting when absolutely necessary. Even then, your words were clipped, stripped of any warmth or teasing. It was as though the distance between you two had manifested in every unspoken word.

You had unleashed all your pent-up anger at Gojo, pushed him away with everything you had. You finally had the peace and quiet you desired.

Gojo used to get on your nerves. Every smirk, every teasing comment about the past—it all grated on you like nails on a chalkboard. And yet... now that he'd gone silent, professional, you finally felt at ease. You could now focus on your relationship with Kota.

You sat in front of the first years.

"Where's Gojo sensei?" Itadori asked, you shrugged.

"I'm guessing in some other mission. But that's alright, Kota is gonna tag along this time" you replied.

You had a mission with the first years. And that's when Kota came into the room. Your face brightened up.

"It's so weird to see her face brighten up like that. I never really see L/N sensei's face do that when Gojo sensei is around" Itadori commented quietly to his friends.

"Can't blame her. He gets on every seven trillion nerves of hers" Nobara replied, Megumi responded with a mhm.

"Sorry, I had to finish some things before coming here" Kota apologized, you nodded your head no.

"Don't apologize, it's okay" you replied softly.

"Are we ready to go?"

You nodded.

"And Gojo?" Kota asked annoyed "he's not coming. He's busy with another mission" you replied. Kota nudged you and smirked at you.

Your ears burned.

You and your team arrived at the abandon building.

"Let's get this done with. This is our last mission for the day."

"Stay sharp! This curse is not like the others we've faced!"

"Got it! Time to put these nails to use!" Nobara throws her hammer and nails at the curse, embedding them into its shadow. The curse roars, its massive form shuddering as the nails explode with cursed energy.

"It's too strong. We need to break through its defenses!" Megumi summoned his shikigami wolf, which dart around the curse, biting and distracting it. He kept his distance, ready to react to the curse's unpredictable movements.

"I'll keep its focus on me. You guys deal with the damage!" You charged forward, your fists glowing with cursed energy. You landed powerful blows, staggering the curse and drawing its attention away the others.
