*Lidi's P.O.V*
Inner Monolouge: I can't believe he would even think we ditched. I miss three out of the nine months a year on THEIR tour and there is no way I'm going to miss any more school than I have to. And he should know that. And how did he not know what happend this morning? It's not like the police came to our front door or anything. Geez. He better be outside my door on his knees begging for my forgiveness because an older brother i love you hug is not going to work today thats for darn sure. Nick was downstairs yelling. I wonder if he talked some sense into that big dummy. Uhg. I guess the good thing is Kay is okay, and that at the moment, is all that really matters.
*knock knock*
"Who is it?" I answered trying to hide the shakiness and anger in my voice.
"It's me" Nick called back. He opened the door and peeked in. We made eye contact for a second and looked away afraid of what emotions he might see in my eyes.
"Were all going out for lunch. You commin?" He asked.
"No. I have a ton of homework I'm working on because I evidently ditched school. So thanks but I think I'll hang out here."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Have fun. Make sure Kay goes. She needs a break." I said never looking up.
"Okay, you have our numbers." He said as he backed out the door. I heard it click and the muffled footsteps fade away. I got up and opened my window. Right below it was the roof of the back porch. It was my favorite spot to sit and think. I left the window cracked open so I could get back in and I took my ipod and just sat there.
About an hour later my stomach started to yell at me for skipping lunch so I went back into my room shutting the window behind me. It was only 1:00 in the afternoon so Frankie hadn't gotten home yet, mom and dad were still running erronds and the rest of them were still at lunch. I walked down the stairs almost tripping when I saw that the TV was on. I walked into the livingroom to turn it off thinking they had forgotten to turn it off. When I got close enough Kev was still sitting on the couch.
"Crap." I tried sneaking back up the stairs suddenly not hungry anymore.
"I hear you. You can come down, it's okay, I'm the only one here and I know you didn't ditch school." Kev said not even taking his eyes off the screen.
"How did you know I was down here?" I asked suddenly curious. He pointed and I looked up. Man I was stupid. I saw my reflection and his starring at me in a mirror.
"Come on. There's nothing to eat here and I know you're hungry. Let's go get something." I nodded and walked out to the garage and got into the passenger seat of Kev's car. He came out a minute later and turned on the car. Without asking I plugged in my ipod and turned it on. He glanced at me and looked back at the road.
"You know, he feels really bad about accussing you for ditching." Kev said still watching the road.
"Who Joe? He's an idiot." I said. Kev chuckled.
"Lid, you know you're not aloud to say that." He said seriously, but still laughing.
"Hey, you can't deny the truth." I said with a slight smile breaking across my lips.
Inner monolouge: Kevin stop making me laugh. I'm supposed to be in an angry mood. You're doing this on purpose!
"So where exactly are we going?" I asked shaking my inner thoughts out of my head.
"Um I was thinking In N Out. Yeah?"
"My favorite."
"Oh, I know."
