Joining The Morning Crowd

"Lidi your butt better be up and moving by the time I get down there!" Nick yelled down the hall. I growned and rolled over pulling the covers up over my head and closing my eyes again. My door flew open and I could hear someone walking towards me. 

"Up, up, up. First day back and I will not let you be late." He said pulling the covers up and leaving me there cold. 

"Just five more minutes? Please?" I begged while laying cold. 

"Fine five more minutes." He said surrenduring. He began to leave my room closing the door behind him.

"Umm Nick I believe those are my sheets." I said pointing lazilly at the bunddle of blankets he had wadded up in his arms. 

"You can have them back after you shower." He said conitinuing out the door. Uhg! He was annoyingly good at getting me out of bed. I got up pushing play on my Ipod and walked over to my closet. I picked out my outfit which was my standard jeans and a dressy t-shirt and walked down the hall to the bathroom. 

"Joe! Move it! I need to take a shower!" I yelled pounding on the door. 

"You're gonna have to wait have a meeting with the execs on my new solo record today and my hair needs to look perfect!" He yelled back from inside. 

"Well it's my first day back at school and I need to look good for all the cute boys that I might meet today!" I yelled giggling knowing I keep to myslef as much as possible at school. 

"You wouldn't dare go near any boys..." Joe saying flying the bathroom door open. 

"Oh good your done." I smirked sliding in between him and the door frame and closing the bathroom door. 

"Revenge is apon us little sister!" He yelled as I started the shower, "NIIICK!" I heard him call in a whinny. He is such a child sometimes. 

I finished up getting ready and walked back into my room to see Nick sitting on my bed. 

"Oh so you finally decided to join the morning crowd huh?" He questioned throwing my sheets at me. 

"Oh shut up you've never been a morning person. You're only up this early because mom and dad are away on a buisness trip and left you and Joe in charge and you wanted to make sure I ate breakfast. I'm not stupid Nick." I said throwing the sheets back at him. He laid them down on my bed and started making it for me while I gathered my things and put them into my back pack. 

"Touche, but even if I wasn't in charge I would still be up not only to make sure you eat breakfast which you haven't by the way, but because I'm in charge of getting you to and from school this year cuz Kevin is gone. So if you're late it's my fault and I will not let that smudge up my perfect attendence record." He said chuckling and handing me a granola bar and a water bottle. He followed me downstairs. 

"Have a good day at school squirt." Joe said ruffling my freshly brushed hair. 

"Watch it there. That's my hair. Have a good meeting Joe." I said walking out to the garage and climbing into the passanger side of Nick's car.

"So what are we going to remember today?" Nick asked like I was a second grader. 

"Not going to get in trouble and make friends." I answered. 

"Right good girl." He said patting me on the head. I swatted his hand away and he chuckled. 

You and Joe are so much alike." He said, "both so concerned about the beloved hair." 

"Your just jelous cuz you don't have amazingly lusious hair like mine." I said trying to mimick Justin Bieber's famous hair flip. 

"You've grown up so much. Where has time gone?" He said reminicing like an old man as we pulled up to the curb at my school. 

"Have a good day. I have a meeting tonight so you're going to have to come with me after I pick you up is that cool?" He asked before I jumped out of the car. 

"Yeah that sounds cool. Will you bring me a water and a snack when you pick me up?" I asked. 

"Sure thing. Have a good day Lidia. Don't forget to take a breath." He said giving me a hug as I steped out of the car. 

"Thanks you have a good day too, and don't forget Nick we're just friends." I said shutting the door and turning around laughing at our cliche Jonas Brother's song quotes. But it did make me laugh so kudos to Nick. I sighed and started the walk up to the front doors of the school. 

"Hi my name is Lidia Jonas and I needed to rechrieve my schedule." I said politely to the secretary behind the counter. 

"Hi sweety. One moment let me just look you up here." She answered back typing a few words quickly into her computer, "Umm what did you say your name was?" She asked looking up from the screen. 

"Lidia Jonas." I answered smiling. It sounded cool saying Jonas as my last name. 

"I'm sorry. Have you registered yet?" She asked. 

"Yes. I was adopted over the summer I guess you could say and my new mom should have registered me last week. They told her to have me pick up my schedule the first day." I said suddenly growing worried. 

"Is she here?" The secretary asked looking concerned. 

"No she's actualy out of town on a buisness trip. My brothers are in charge would you like me to call one of them down here?" I asked trying to stay positive. 

"Yes, that's sounds like a good idea. You're welcome to sit over there until one of them come back." She said pointing to a row of chairs lined up against the wall. I nodded and sat down, pulling out my phone and calling Nick. Why does this kind of stuff happen to me? On the first day to top it all off. 

*Nick's P.O.V* 

I tossed my keys on the table in the hallway at home and started to walk back upstairs to my room. I was going to go back to sleep before lunch when I had to meet Kev and talk about some band stuff. Before I made it into my room I heard my phone ringing. I look down at the caller I.D. Why would Lidia be calling me so early in the morning. 

"Hey Lidi, what's up?" I asked trying not to sound paniced even though on the inside I was flipping out. 

"Umm they said I'm not registered here." She said on the other end of the line, "They were wondering if you could come back down here and help sort it all out." She asked. I could tell she was worried, I would be too if they told me I wasn't registered for school. 

"Yeah sweety. Give me five minutes and I'll be back there." I said turning around and heading back down the stairs. 

"Thanks Nick." She said and I could hear her voice sounding suddenly relieved. 

"See you in a sec." I said hanging up. Looks like there is going to be no nap for me. I thought to myself grabing my keys back off the table. 

"Be back in a bit Joe. I have to go sort some stuff out with Lidia at the school." I called out and climbed in pulling out of the driveway.
