I turned and glanced at Kev. He nodded signaling we were done with this conversation for now. I knew it would start up again as soon as I steped into my hotel room tonight. I thanked him and ran out of the dressing room chasing Kay down. I stoped when I heard whimpers and backed up to find Kayla sitting on the stairs with her head in her hands crying.
"Cuz the black keys never looked so beautiful and a perfect rainbow never seemed so dull..." I started singing as I sat down next to he. She picked up her head and looked at me, "And the lights out never had this bright a glow, and the black keys showing me a world I never knew no..." I finished the song and gave her a hug. Getting up to walk away she called after me.
"Lidi!"
"Yeah?" I asked sitting back down.
"You're not going to ask me what happened?"
"Well no... I figured you would just tell me when you're ready."
"Well, I am." She said taking a deep breath and exhaling. I looked at her and she began to tell her story. "Well he took me to the most beautiful reastraunt and we were eating. I got over my star struckiness and we had a civil conversation. It was amazing. When we got back to the venue he stoped and said he had to tell me something. He said that Cody dared him to do this. Then he said that he actually had an amazing time tonight and he texted Cody that the dare was off, and he would love to see her again. I was thrilled. I huged him and walked back in here. I wasn't mad or sad or anything until it hit me he said Cody. I freaked out and asked myself if he set something like this up to hurt me, if he really loved you. You're my sister. I don't wanna see your heart broken. So I guess the moral of this story is be carefull Lidia. Please? For me?" She finished and took another deep breath. All I could do is nod.
Was Cody really here to see me? Or was he here to see to it that the dare was a mission complete. Did he really care about me? We sat there for a while and then walked side by side to watch the boys perform. We piled into the SUV afterwards and took off towards the hotel.
"You okay?" Nick asked nudging me.
All I could do to hold back the tears was to nod and look out the window. When we got to the hotel we were escorted to our rooms and recieved our room keys. We were then reread the rules and finaly were left alone. Kay was texting Justin, Kevin and Dani went for cofee, and Nick wasn't feeling to hot. Which left Joe and I. I couldn't hold it in any more. I took my phone and walked down to his room.
*knock knock*
"Hey Lidi. What's up?" He asked letting me in and closeing the door.
As soon as I walked in the room I ran up to him and gave him a hug. I started sobbing into his chest and just stood there crying for what felt like forever, it was really only a couple minutes. He stood back and looked me in the eyes. For some reason at that moment I flashed from sad to anger in an instant.
"What's wrong?" He asked comfertingly.
"I need you to do me a huge favor." I said with complete seriousness in my voice.
"anything."
"Help me?" I asked on the verge of tears again. I sat down on the edge of his bed and looked up at him.
"Explanation?" He asked waiting for more to the question.
"I need to break up with Cody, but I don't wanna be alone when I do it and I can't do it with Kay in the room because she'll think she caused it. Will you just sit here and listen to the conversation and just screen the things that come out of my mouth? Cuz right now there's like a bagillion words that wanna come out."
